So over the past two weeks I have not been feeling so great. I went for my flu jab on Thursday and the nurse thought I looked unwell ...took my blood pressure and it was high …. I have to go back this week ….but as I am still not feeling great I am getting a bit concerned. I am sure everything will be fine ...I am trying to stay positive...

There are an awful lot of colds and viruses going around at the moment. Are you drinking enough? Hope you feel better and find it's nothing to worry about. Is it half-term next week? It is in the Eastern Angles. This half-term has sped by.

@Traceyjayne Ack, poor you. Your half-term will be very much deserved and needed!

@Traceyjayne Also, last night I discovered that my SiL's county {which is intermingled with ours} has half-term the same week as you. Seems that we must be early this year!

I hope everything will be okay. It's hard not to worry though isn't it?

I can't say too much as I am not a doctor, but your blood pressure may be what is making you feel so unwell. Or it could be a reaction to the flu shot. Anyhow with your BP being high they may put you on blood pressure medication...mine is one that is seriously laced with garlic. Each time I open the bottle it's like being in the middle of an Italian restaurant!. You might try taking some garlic or eating some food that is high in garlic content. One of my myLot friends eats a lot of garlic and it keeps her blood pressure down. Her husband eats raw garlic, a LOT of raw garlic. You also could be coming down with a cold too. I haven't been feeling totally up to par and a few days ago I got up with a scratchy throat and I now have a runny nose. If you take vitamins start taking your vitamin C and increase the amount you take. I need to dig mine out to kick this cold quickly. I picked mine up at DisneyLand and it's miserable. OH! And eat chicken soup. It was once thought to be a falicy, but it is true that chicken soup does help with things like colds and flu. It's kind of like having Mom there soothing your brow. But the big thing is to make sure you eat, it doesn't really matter what you eat, just that you keep eating so that your body has fuel to fight whatever is causing your problem. I hope you feel better soon...please keep us informed. We're like a family here and we do care a lot about each other.
