Our ficus palms were invaded by a particular insect which looks like a tiny white butterfly. They came in huge grooups and just as new leaves shot up they would be devoured. And this happened during summer. They have now disappeared with the onset of monsoon and we now see new leaves in all their glory. I clicked a photo of one of them today and am happy to share it with you here.

Even tiny insects can make a difference if there are enough of them. I'm glad your palms are now insect-free.

Looks like the plant is happy his pest were not around to eat him. I just hope that before these insects would return he has enough matured leaves that the insects could not much on them anymore.

I have many of these plants that produce these fresh leaves at different times and there is no guarantee that those pests would not arrive

@allknowing I think they will be back for as long as the plant is surviving it.

A lot of my plants in my tiny garden have been ravaged by insects. It's very frustrating. Such is the biological cycle of life in nature. Glad yours survived!

These new leaves are really beautiful. This is the first time I have seen such beautiful leaves. They are really different from the old ones.

They look pretty at every stage even when they just about emerge.

I am waiting to see mosquitoes and stink bugs disappear. It is still too warm and they are not gone yet.

It is horrid when tiny insects get all over a plant. Glad they went away.
