Off I went to the good ol' internet to look up "teriyaki porcupines" to see if anyone else had tried this before. As luck would have it, I found a link where someone had posted about making them for dinner! So... imagine my confusion when I clicked on the link and it went to one of my old MyLot posts! I guess I've done this before! I hope everyone liked it before, because that's dinner tonight. Here's my old post, if you're interested.
Tonight's dinner was born out of creative desperation -- 'what on earth do I make with this ground beef that's not the same four or five things I make all the...

I missed that! I'm a little behind on her videos. I wrote/compiled a cookbook years ago when I still worked for Trader Joe's.

You know what, I am so just like you. I always make dishes from what are there in the freezer and the vegetable bin. With ready sauces and condiments, it always turn our good also like yours. I think we are naturally god cooks.

Tonight I served spaghetti, but I made the sauce myself! I had a flat of tomatoes that was going to go bad if I didn't use them up. I pureed several of them in the blender (didn't peel them, just liquified the whole thing) and simmered them with some spices for a couple of hours, then browned some ground beef and added it to the sauce.

As I saw the link, I remembered very well that you posted, because I searched the net to understand what are "porcupine meatballs".

@spiderdust It happens, this is why when I make something that my husband likes he asks me to write down the recipe and I often forget.

No wonder it sounded like a good idea. I haven't done that before but I have made the porpupine meatballs.

Meatballs in general go over well here. The stepkids' mother also used to make porcupines sometimes (although a bit differently than I do), so they're happy when I make them too.
