Walked the steepest hill

United States
October 23, 2018 4:23pm CST
Atleast, I'm almost certain it's the steepest hill. There may be one other street that has a part that's a bit steeper, but either way.. I think I am going to push myself to walk this path morning and afternoon. I usually switch up which way I go, but I think the way I went this afternoon is the best bet to help my cardiovascular system. I took 3,868 steps on this walk and burned 268 calories. It took me 37 minutes. I think my goal now is to make this same walk in 30 minutes. I'll start off small and just try to cut two minutes off of the time. Have you exercised today?

@ScribbledAdNauseum I had chicken and rice soup with a grilled cheese sandwich. I am going to be finishing up my workout video as soon as wheel of fortune is over.

@Tina30219 Oh that sounds delicious. Just remember that salt in soups make you feel bloated. I had a bit of a cheat day as I ate country style steak, two biscuits, potato salad and fried squash.

Not really, unless you count housework, I did do some of that..I would have done better with a walk...maybe tomorrow.

I started another load of laundry today. I still need to do part of my bedding. I've done part already, but I need to do the other part. I have so much bedding. Housework counts, but you aren't wrong in saying that a walk would have been better, and more enjoyable.

I have not walked yesterday, but I have worked two hours in the garden. Pulled out the annual plants, I dug the soil to get rid of the roots, put everything in big plastic bags and brought on the road for the garden waste weekly collection.

That's still exercise as it isn't easy pulling things out of the ground. I've walked this morning and will go again to walk in just a few minutes.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I surely agree. If only I can get a reward without exercising... Ha ha.

Went boxing yesterday. Tonight, I'm doing some muay thai.

@ScribbledAdNauseum it originated from Thailand. It is similar to boxing but in muay thai, you are allowed to strike using your elbows and knees. You can also kick and clinch your opponent.

We have instructors for many different martial arts here in the US but I've not heard of Muay Thai.

I did this morning. It's always the number of steps or time spent but steepness and resistance.

There's really not very many just plain flat roads in my neighborhood. Tomorrow I am considering staying out there longer during my afternoon walk.
