I've never had chickenpox before

I wish i had it when i was a kid so I won't get it as an adult. It is worse since the scars do not go away and become dark spots. So when i was riding a jeepney back home and saw someone in front of me in the "healing stage" of chicken pox(where they look like small scabs already), i was quite nervous. I kept looking at him many times for the duration of the ride - i hope he wasn't offended. Anyway, has any of you got it yet?

Yeah me too I never had chickenpox also. When my sister got it I thought I would be next in line. But months pass me by and I never got it. Several passed and it was my uncle that got hit. He was badly hit because he was already pretty matured when he got it. I was a teenager back then. I was anticipating I might be infected soon but it did not happen. Now that I am in my adulthood already I am more afraid because i saw my uncle suffered badly from it but so far it hasn’t come to me yet.

@lady1993 I hope that's true. So I wouldn't worry about it anymore. I remember in my Third year HS I was diagnosed to have German measles but it was just rashes and no scabs came out I just had itchy rashes and it subsided when fever went down with it.

If you were near it twice i don't think you will ever get it. You must be immune

There was no vaccination then so I got it full blast and sometimes it can come back as shingles too and the shingles can repeat themselves all a question of stress and the time of the year. My eldest go something similar when he was 19 and he was not very well at all but he did get over it with no scars there is a lotion to stop the itching of it. Calamine lotion is what I was covered in from head to foot.

@lady1993 Its something that I hope no one gets as its better to get it when you are very small. The lotion is still very good for that kind of problem and others too.

I had chicken pox around 40 years old . . oh my it was terrible. No hospital would admit me (I like to be admitted because I have health card anyway). So I pay 1,000 pesos for zobirax (my medications) a day I don't have any scar

@lady1993 because it is a communicable disease and they don't like me to spread pox there.

I have never had chicken pox either, the doctor said I carry the virus inside me but won't get them and I did get shingles which was unusual.

@lady1993 No, not everyone gets them and for those who have, you can get them more than once. I pray I never get them again because they are very painful and last up to a month

Not yet here and I never wish to caught in my entire life. I think if you get to notice early its symptoms and get treatment early as possible, it won't severe.
