Maturing

I'm putting away my clothes right now and I can't help but laugh. It is kind of crazy when you self reflect and actually notice you have changed even just a little bit. I used to be a strictly band tee and pants or skirt kindof girl. Which I still am, 80% of my closet is still band tees. But I noticed that my style is slightly maturing, I have more dresses and blouses than I ever had before and I'm really happy about it. Though everything is still black grey or dark red just like how it was when I was a teenager, I just made my darkside more mature looking!

How many different bands do you have tees of? It is interesting how our style changes over time.

@DesirousDreamer Ohh, that's pretty neat. I don't know the main one you have, or actually, any but PATD and FOB. I used to like FOB a little in middle and high school though.

Most of it is Black Veil Brides, I have been getting band tees of thems since I was 12. I have a panic at the disco, fall out boy, falling in reserve, two bands that sadly do not exist anymore Vampires everywhere and Farewell My Love. I think that is all. I know I need more.

@Courtlynn BVB is my all time favorite band, if you like bands like Motley Crue, KISS, Pennywise, then they are amazing. But I don't think you like those kinds of bands, so there is also the lead singers solo band Andy Black (which I have a few band tees as well) which is much more Pop, alt-rock sounding kind of like P!ATD just more noir feeling!

I wouldn't say that. Most girls wear leggings or shorts these days.

@amadeo Anyone should be able to wear whatever they want. As a fat girl, I "shouldn't" wear skirts or dresses. But I say, enjoy my cellulite, but I feel cute and that is how it should be.

It is interesting to look at how styles change. I was a punk rocker teen and early 20s but I think combined with work and maturing I have also eased out of that...mostly lol

I do feel like I will mature a little more as I earn more money to be able to buy my dream style of clothing with is like gothic and also grunge/punk, but I will never object to new band merch haha

It's nice to look back how we dressed when we were younger.

@DesirousDreamer I am not a fashionista, if there is something I like I wear for several years.

@LadyDuck I am not fashionable, but I am really good at color coordination.

I still wear a lot of the similar style I did as I was younger, mostly because I can't afford much else haha

Those are the colors that I mostly wear too. I prefer darker colors.

I love dark colors, probably because I am so ghostly pale that I just want to look like a vampire in my bat costumes.

I wouldn't say it is for the better. My mom is in her mid 40s and still wearing band tees and she looks amazing! And I will still be wearing my band tees until then as well.

@DesirousDreamer It may be the same for a lot of us.
