Are you like me and devour books? I love, love, love to read. I will read anything - a label, a recipe, I just love to read. Fortunately I passed on my love of reading to all three of my girls. When they were young we used to go to the library all the time. They developed a love of reading at a very young age. When teaching I tried to pass on this love reading relationship to my students. If they were very good during class I would save the last 10 minutes to read them a story. Usually one about animals. They loved it. To me, reading is the number one important skill that you need to help you succeed. If you can read well you have it made. Reading opens up so many avenues to success. I am currently reading "Genuine Lies" by Nora Roberts. It looks like it's going to be a good book. What are you reading?

I have always loved reading books and I still do. I cannot sleep if I do not read at least half an hour before turning off my night lamp.

I agree that a love of reading is a wonderful thing. I should read more than I do but I seem to get distracted easily.

@HazySue This happened to me so often when I was first married that I gave up reading for years. I would burn the dinner and all sorts of things once I got my head in a book.

@JudyEv I have to make a concentrated effort to put down a book and stay away from it when I am cooking. Otherwise we would have been eating ashes.

I sometimes get so involved in a book that time flies by and I get nothing else accomplished.

I love reading, give me a good book and I’m happy. Right now, I’m reading two books. Circle Of Quilters by Jennifer Chiaverini and Pastor Needs a Boo by Michele Andrea Bowen.I haven’t had enough reading lately

They sound like two interesting books. I used to read more than one boo at a time but lately I seem to have to concentrate on one at a time.

I am a readaholic as well. I love it. It is frustrating sometimes when my friends and family don’t share the hobby with me - I always borrow books that I LOVE to others only to get some excuse as to why they didn’t read it. But that’s ok - to each their own. I haven’t ever read any Nora Roberts. Is there one you would suggest by her? Happy reading!

I don't have as much time to sit and read as I would like so I compromise by using audio books. I'm currently listening to The Seamstress: A Memoir of Survival and in the scarce moments when I want to read instead of being read to I'm finishing up Penelope Wilcock's The Hawk and the Dove series, book #9 is called A Day and a Life

It depends on the school system itself. I taught children with behavior and leaning problems so it could be quite difficult.
