Today my girlfriend called and wanted me and my boyfriend to go with her to her doctor appointment and the. She was taking us to Walmart to pick up a few things while there I got to use my coupon for 3.00 any Hershey candy listed on coupon and it just so happened that the candy was 2.97 so I got it free we also had lunch at Wendy’s then on our way home I got me a Starbucks that also freethanks to a giftcard my girlfriend sent me for my birthday. Have you enjoyed anything free lately?

It sounds like a great day, I'm so glad! Today I got some free clothes for my youngest boys and I'm so grateful for them!

Yes I have. My mom and I both got free $2 giftcards for Dunkin through Tmobile, then I made us both a Dunkin account using the giftcards to get us free drinks for signing up and on our birthdays.

Nothing is really free in this world. The costs of any discounts, coupons, or whatever are all built into the cost of everything we buy. The coupons and discounts entice us to buy. But we pay for it ultimately one way or the other. Even if it is "free," the cost of the giveaway is determining the cost or value of whatever it is.

@porwest Giving out coupons causes the company to raise their prices so coupons really aren't that good unless you use it to the get the item free then never actually buy the product. Sometimes I love things I try out and do start buying them.

Yeah nothing is free in life but it is possible you just have to know how to do it to get them.

@shaggin No, exactly. That was kind of my point. Ultimately we pay for the "discounts." All costs are built into the price we pay, and when you get right down to it, nothing is actually discounted or free. Marketing is just built around making one FEEL like they are getting a particular value.
