Deepawali - festival of lights

It used to be more noise than lights but this year there is a ban on loud sounding crackers and even lighting fireworks is restricted to certain hours.
They have now come up with green crackers which are made from substances that are safe but one cannot find much of them here and those who are celebrating this event are disappointed.
Pollution is what is bothering the government and one city in particular has almost 30 times more than the permissible limit.

Yes it is. This issue is being discussed almost every single day here. People are moving around with masks

@allknowing I figured. I've heard so many horrible things about the sanitation and pollution problems there. I hope they clean up their act.

The brightest festival of them all. How I wish to witness that in person.

Fireworks always look so lovely. Too bad there is so much pollution.
