I rarely get political in my work, but I couldn't stop thinking about how important net neutrality is and how big brother might be showing up a few decades late if our ISPs became content aware. Such a blatant violation of our fundamental right to privacy really needs to remain in a dystopian fiction...

@ledante I did some research - I loved "Fischer King" and "Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail" - but those are the only others of his work I know. Maybe I should look for more. Which ones of his do you like

There is still an expectation to privacy, but folks were shocked to learn that they could be tracked and even listened upon when their cel phones were "off"

Yes technology is getting us hook in it just so we can be monitored more by whoever is controlling the net. Almost everything is already on the net already. They would just need to streamline it to get the data they need to.

California and some other states passed laws protecting Net Neutrality, but the rest of the nation is pretty horked right now
