~First Time In a Race Car!~

My morning view

Good morning everyone I hope you're doing well and I hope you know that God loves you and He thinks you're amazing!! =) Every morning I hear the rooster's wake up call and I feel like I'm in Heaven. I absolutely love the peace of this place! I watch out the window as the horses graze. The goats and the donkey are so adorable and the chickens are so friendly too. Our day will entail school work of some kind. Did you know there's so much more to schooling than just out of a book? Of course you knew that! Yesterday we watched Brain Games on Netflix as part of school, which is a GREAT educational show by the way. The kids and I learned about our brains and trusting them, we played a memory game, and we learned how our brains react while under pressure! We count taking care of the animals as part of school as well, of course. My oldest son rode in an actual race car the other day so he's now interested in learning more about the racing world too-how cool is that? So, as you see not all learning is at a desk in a classroom with a book in front of you. Well, I'm going to get some coffee and do my devotions. I will be here on and off through out the day. =) The picture is of my view out the front door

You are lucky to have those chickens with you. My dog would have tear them a part if he ever see one in my yard.

I grew up on a farm and this photo brings back lovely memories. However our chooks (chickens) were fenced out of the house area as Mum didn't want the scratching in her garden.

I love when the neighbors chickens wander into our yard! They love to eat ticks and bugs so its like a healthy pest control system!!! I've even gotten a few free eggs here and there! Since they love to crawl into the kids play structures and roost there.

This is a wonderful experience for everyone, and it sounds like country living is agreeing with all of you. It will really help pass the time until you can move and join your hubs again. But until then, enjoy it.

I remember back in the 1960s going to visit my Mother's family. One sister's husband grew cotton and vegetables and remember getting a chance to pick both and since they didn't have indoor plumbing pumping water and using an outhouse. Another Aunt owned a dairy and I watched them at milking time clean and hook the cows up to the milking machines and hear stories of what they did when there was power failure.

That is awesome for him!!! At first, moving to the country that has farm animals.... from a deep country that was mostly orange groves and cattle, and horses in the winter month (transported down out of the snow from the north)... it took me a while to get use to the roosters on the local farms!!! Now, they pretty much are a nice natural alarm clock!
