Finding the remains of residents of California fire stricken regions, has been a painstaking and ongoing effort from many volunteers and firefighters as the toll level rises to around one thousand and eleven people still missing. Blackbear News provides the latest news on climate change, which is at the core root of those fires and other world wide disasters.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is already pressuring Nancy Pelosi on climate change https://www.vox.com/energy-and-environment/2018/11/14/18094452/alexandria-ocasi...

I haven't been paying much attention to the news since I've been sick the past couple of days. Are the fires getting any closer to being contained? I really hope those 1000+ people are holed up safely somewhere and just haven't been accounted for yet. I would hate to think that we lost that many people in a wildfire.

I will not attempt to speculate. I would rather wait and see what happens next with hope.

@lookatdesktop Has there been any updates on the status of the containment of the fires? I'm hoping they can get the upper hand on them soon.

@moffittjc , Here is a recent YouTube on the subject.

Wow, that is so tragic....I couldn't imagine what that would be like to go through. Hopefully soon it will be contained...

It did so much destruction in such a very short period of time that recovery will be very slow and be long term, perhaps decades.

I hope all missing people are found safe. And I hope that all things that were done wrong before (like what was NOT done in Puerto Rico after the hurricane) is fixed.

@lookatdesktop A disgrace not only for Trump but, unfortunately, for your country. A president is the face of a country from abroad.

What happened in Puerto Rico was a disgrace. What the hell can a roll of paper towels do for them?

It is beyond imagination and many other states have joined in the efforts of recovery and joining in the search for survivors. So much loss and we were not at all prepared for it as a nation.

@FourWalls , I added a link in the comments, from Paul Beckwith, you might find appropriate, as he is one of the top climatologists who regularly posts videos on YouTube about abrupt climate change. This comes from an acute knowledge of the weather on a global scale.

Our governor proclaimed the state is financially strong enough to separate from the US so dealing with the money effects of the fires should not be an issue on that score.

Okay, I got that. I really hope this is the case. But any extra help from other sources will be welcome I'm sure. I am glad the Governor sees California to be in a good state of financial strength.

I watched sky4 live camera I think it was called, on a YouTube a few days ago and watched as the large air tankers flew across and several planes and helicopters drop water and fire retardant on the areas where it would be most effective to contain the fires. so much smoke rising and the people have been wearing facial masks and it has hurt many people with respiratory issues due to health and age.

I did read they are getting the fires contained some at least. Hopefully most of those are just in shelters or with friends and family

Many are unaccounted for and they are looking for more survivors, I really do hope most of them get found and are okay but I need also know just how deadly those fires have been and continue to be.
