You still do not seem to know how myLot works

Countless users have brought this to your notice that just saying 'thank you', 'nice', 'great', 'wow'................will not give anyone the opportunity to interact with you. myLot is all about interaction And this is the last time I will bring this to your notice. I have stopped even 'liking' your response leave alone commenting on it. So please say something worthwhile so that it can be commented on

Yes, I get disappointed also when all I get for my comment is simply "Thank you for sharing your thoughts." But what about your though or say in what I have commented. So, I don't ever interact again with myLotters who are like that.

I used to try and comment on those one word responses but I will no longer do it. Neither will I 'like' them.

@MALUSE There are several discussions that do not interest me and I too move on but there will be others who would finding them interesting.

@allknowing Every day I find posts which aren't worth a 'Like' and even less so a 'Comment'. I just move on. When I find, "Thanks for sharing", I could kick the perpetrator!

@allknowing yeah it does make it harder to carry on a conversation when the answer you receive is a conversation stopper.

Atleast the first response should have some substance to enable a comment.

@VivaLaDani13 Exceptions may be but there are some who make it a rule to post one word responses.

@allknowing Yeah true. Something that I've noticed a lot that does bother me a little is when I see people asking a question that they really want to know, but the poster will only "like" their comment and not answer. I don't know why some won't answer another's question. I've had it happen to me a bit and I'm wondering why they won't answer my question that is related to their post. As if they just don't want to talk about it anymore. Don't know. But if they answered, it would help keep the conversation going.

That is true when I read those comments the least I could do is like them if not I just ignore them altogether. I think they have not realise that for now and they are just thinking this short messages will earn them money.

There was a user (a woman) who always commented "thanks for your comment". I told her that this site is all about interaction... well, she blocked me and she blocked all those who tired to help. Go understand some users.

Good riddance of bad rubbish (lol) is what I would say even if they decide to block. They lose too. In fact they can respond although they could be rude comments but the OP earns (lol)

I just move on from those ones. But I do sometimes just leave a Thanks. But sometimes that is all you can do to the comment.

This is very well said. I believe when you respond in one word, that is closing the interaction. It does not give room for interaction

I have seen that, too. It is not easy to continue the conversation if you get a very short comment. Of course it depends on the situation and sometimes there is not much to add, but some people do it very often.

@allknowing Yes, I have noticed that. For some people it seem to be a habit, and it is hard to comment on really short responses or comments.

If it's the first comment from them I'll give them the benefit of a doubt or the last in a row of comments. And if they are new I give them a bit of leeway too.

When we are so dependent on socialising here a pleasant chat is what we look forward apart from the earnings it generates.

@allknowing so true. We learn many things from our fellow Mylotters through interaction and it is good because we would know how it is in the other side of the world.

For me, this only occurs if I have nothing to say or to add any more. Sometimes I run out of words to say especially if I have trouble understanding what the other is trying to say. But most of the time, I interact a lot.

As I have just commented elsewhere here, there are exceptions and we all come under that category sometimes but there are a few here who only interact by putting those one or two word phrases.

@allknowing And I remember someone from here who always respond to me - Thank you my friend. And to be honest, it's kind of annoying because you wanted to add something to that interaction but he already ends it.

If they have been exchanging responses many times on one discussion, sometimes you run out of words, you just say this one. I dont mind mylotters respond such to me. Though there is one mylotter i stopped responding because she always said the same thing to all responses. Goodness.

When there is a chain of responses one can end it with a ;like;. Atleast the first response should be worthy of a comment.
