Can you use a computer mouse with your "wrong" hand?

I know it's not the same as handwriting, but I find it impossible to use a computer mouse with the hand I don't write with. I am left-handed - there is nothing physically wrong with my right hand, but it just doesn't want to know when it comes to a whole lot of things, including mouse manipulation. When I use a "public" computer at either library where I work, my colleagues always know that I've been there because the mouse will have switched to the left side of the keypad - and for some reason I never remember to put it back! The photo is not of my hand but a stock photo taken from a copyright-free source. I don't do what this guy does and use two fingers for the left and right buttons. Instead, I hold the mouse at an angle and use my index finger for both buttons. This has always struck me as the natural thing to do. Tell me - am I normal in this, or ever so slightly odd?

I'm right handed. Never tried the computer mouse with my left hand. But I play a clarinet which requires both hands. I use both fingers on the buttons.

Yes - I can see that playing the clarinet one-handed would be a problem!

I am a right-handed person. However, I use the mouse with my left hand. I got used to it and I found it better. As I can use my right hand to write or do something else, meanwhile I can still control my computer with my left hand. It is very efficient

I am right-handed but a few years ago my shoulder and arm started to hurt like crazy and I was forced to move my mouse with my left hand. At first it was hard and awkward but eventually I was able to do it and now I switch back and forth so that I don't strain either hand.

No, maybe I can’t do it. It’s so awkward for me.

Though I write with right hand, there are many other things which I can do at ease with both hands. I mostly use mouse with my left. And this post brings me to notice that.
