Am I allowed to post this on MyLot?

I got a couple of posts deleted over the past week. This has made me sensitive about the rules on MyLot. I read the rules, but I have adult ADD and get lost.
Here's the first music I ever posted on MyLot. Vanny (from MyLot) helped me edit it, and DJ (from MyLot) helped me turn it into a video. I'm clueless about technology. And I'm clueless about the internet.
As I understand it, it's OK that I link this old video, because I don't make any money from the video. But if I made money from the video, it would be inappropriate to post such a link here.
Is that true?
Most of you have already seen the video. If you haven't, just praise it up and down. I wrote the song, and my heart was there. But I'm also interested in what is allowed here and what is not.
Can we promote our own stuff, so long as money is not involved?

I was reported and had a post took down, ONE, but Alex told me I could say the name of my store like all the others say the name of their books. I know you CAN post your site link on your profile, you cant direct anyone to it.
Not long ago the staff asked people to stop being malicious and reporting people because they do not like them.

We have always had musicians, artists, authors, etc post their work here. As long as they aren't posting said work to sell it, it's fine.

I fear that also this post will be deleted, because you post the link to a YouTube Video that COULD brings you money, because it goes to YOUR YouTube account. It does not matter if you do not make money, it's a violation. Alex cannot do a favor to you and delete all the other posts that have financial links. You should understand that being an Administrator of a site it's not always an easy task and the risk to be criticized and showed as "partial" is very high. I had already seen the video.

@vandana7 He asked and I gave my opinion. Alex in the recent times has deleted more posts because some users complained that he has been "partial". One thing is sure, if he deletes a post because of a personal link, he must delete also all the others.

Yes, you can link anything you're not making money from as far as getting paid for people visiting that link. I got permission to do a review of a book I edited but I've not done so yet. I also have yet to make anything from the books I've edited. I should find out why but haven't forced the issue as yet.
Rebelann also had some posts removed recently. I wonder what's going on with those.

@TheHorse see didn't seem to know why. I was surprised to hear about it because admin seems slow from what I've heard on deleting posts and with her being here awhile I'd have thought she wouldn't have any problems there.

I haven't posted much lately, so nothing I've posted has been removed.....unless I personally removed it.
I've been purging. At least 100 old irrelevant discussions have been deleted in the last week.
Too bad it's not that easy to purge my household goods.

@TheHorse I posted a link in my last discussion, but unfortunately, no one can hear it unless they register with the site Singsnap.com. Kind of disappointing. I was hoping to get some feedback. Free to sign up, but nobody wants to do that. Bummer.

Cool song, it is not the type of song I'd play all the time, but would do if a friend asked me to. :)

That is a hard one. Maybe it is just the way you share it. Just do not bring money or self promotion into it,even if you did not think you did. Make it about something like a story or helping other people out. Maybe that is all it is, but I am not sure, just how I would go about it. I am sure there is a way where you can share your new songs, but have to do it in a way does not come across as spam and something that is useful for people. That is the way I always try to remember to write things on other sites. Most of corporate America teaches the whole self promotion thing and always about capitalism, but never teach a proper way to do what you do for a living without it sounding like spam. I mean I read people doing side businesses on Facebook and first thing I think is they just want more money. They have no passion in it, just want extra money and think maybe what Mylot is trying to avoid.

I don't know the answer myself. I posted one of my videos, but I don't make money from it...and it is still up.
