What movie was a big influence on your life?

Is there any movie, after you watch it, make some change in your life? For example, made you sad but in the same time make you happy too, because you have home, health, freedom etc. I will give you some examples: Lorenzo's Oil; The Color Purple; Cast Away etc.

I would say " Forest Gump" because it shows what simple people could achieve through perseverance, tenacity and never giving up.

The Bill Murray movie STRIPES had a big influence on me because it convinced me that I would be able to make it through Army basic training, and I did so with no problem.

I can't really think of any, but the Color Purple was a really grea tbook, never saw the movie. Good choice though.
