This is a crown you won't find in any royal palace or garden. Neither would you find it in any aristocratic or even in any middle class flower garden. However you will see it abundantly beautifying a poor man's courtyard or backyard. I don't know its scientific name but I do know what it is called by the natives of the tea estates in the hill country in the north. Its name there is Cock's Crown for its color and shape resembles the cock's crown. They just sprout anywhere and bloom during winter just before Christmas as if in joy of the welcoming the Savior.

I think I saw this plant before a long time ago. I know it is not native to my country that is why it is not in abundance in my place. But lately I do not see them anymore in my place. Maybe the plant did not prosper because it has not adapted to out environment.
