Do people randomly send you messages

I have not faced this before..but in the last week I have random people sending me messages asking me from where I am or other personal stuff.. I honestly do not like giving personal information.. I am a very private person and I find it difficult to respond to these messages..
I always respond to friends here or even those whom I consider friends. But not to anyone I haven't had a chance to know.
I am not angry or upset.. just curious.
Do you get such messages?

@allknowing I find that a little odd, Allknowing. I think people here are female unless/until vanny tells me I hugged a man or said something that is not typically said to a man in her part of the world. Sometimes it embarrasses me that I haven't been paying as much attention as I thought I was and other times I laugh and say that I tell men and women things all the time here that she would think me odd for saying.

I got a message asking for my address. I don't feel comfortable typing my address onto a Face Book message. I am happy to tell people I live in the United Kingdom in the part which is called England. I am able to tell people how old I am. I like to discuss with people my interests.

No, I do not receive such messages. I would not answer inquiries for personal information unless it is from someone that has been here a long time and there is a good reason for their inquiry. Be cautious!

@1hopefulman Nope no way I would answer those messages.. Thanks, I will be very cautious. i was annoyed a bit..more because you cannot delete those message ..

I have never received a message like that before, but whether the message you received according to you is very detrimental

@KOLAMsegaran1 Its not okay for strangers to ask for personal details , I would consider that annoying. I have so many friends here and we message each other.. but that is different.

I don't get that kind of messages. I only get messages from people who are old friends on this site. They don't ask for personal information, we just talk about our lives and things like that. I would find it a bit strange to receive the kind of messages you describe, especially if they came from people you don't know well (online)

@sofssu I wouldn't be comfortable with that kind of messages from people I don't really know. This is very different from messages from old friends.

@Porcospino I have a few friends here like that we talk about personal stuff.. but we have been friends for a long time now. Yes, these are from random people, i am not even sure if I responded to their posts..

Yes, I get messages like that quite frequently, sofs. It can be very annoying!

I have gotten a few, where people ask me what I do to make money and where you from, I can help you make money.. I never replied to those kinda messages on here.
