What's Your Traditional Christmas Dessert ?

Everyone seems to have a traditional Christmas dessert they love to have on Christmas day or Eve. My mother always made apple desserts or pies and also had her famous fudge too! Sometimes we had mincemeat tarts which are a mix of apple, raisins, and brandy, etc. Very Christmas-sy! Today i do keep up the apple tradition and sometimes have pumpkin pie too as you know I love it. I know many British people have trifle for Christmas and/or plum pudding. My husband loves plum or sticky pudding with a sweet or custard sauce. I don't make it but sometimes I will buy him one and steal a few bites! What's your favourite or traditional Christmas dessert? above is a fun image of a Christmas pudding from Pixabay Free Images

With Christmas occurring in the middle of summer in Australia, light, cold desserts are popular and usually include pavlova, fruit salad and trifle, served with ice-cream and/or cream. Yum!

@JudyEv Ah yes! I've had one of those--not bad, maybe a little crunchy. Do you add whipped cream and strawberries, etc.?

@Marymargll - We usually do a Christmas brunch rather than a Christmas dinner, so we really don't make a dessert, although yours sounds delicious. Instead, we will have a quiche, some bagels and lox, and a variety of pastries.

Think you are close with that spelling and I know what they are too. What's in the nut rolls?

I like to make the red and green jello punch cake. It's light, delicious, seasonal colors and my family loves it! You frost it with cool whip and I always put a sprig of holly on top.

In years gone by I have had cheesecake. This year I'm having a vegan chocolate torte.
