What are you hoping for for Christmas?

We all have something we would love to receive for Christmas, it's usually something we wouldn't buy for ourselves but would love for someone else to buy for us. For me it is a Siamese kitten. I would give my right arm for one, but with my staying with my boyfriend since my house was lost I can't just go out and adopt one. I've already messed up his house enough with working on teddy bears and all the stuff that I need for making them. His white carpet now has a regular trail of spots all over the carpet. I need to get busy and clean the carpet and hopefully restore it to its "spotless" condition. So if I am go get a kitten I would have to have Bill get it for me. That's the only thing I would love for Christmas! What would you love to receive for Christmas? Do you think someone will get it for you? Or do you have to buy it for yourself?

All I want for Christmas is good health and unfortunately, nobody can give me this.

I wish that for you and for me even though like you it is impossible. I would love to stand up first thing in the morning and know for sure my legs will support me completely. I would also love to be able to sit and not have my lower back kill me with pain...same for my neck. I was injured on the job and since then I spend every day in incredible pain. I have to go down south for shots in my back to try to help with both the pain and also the problems I have with walking. I'm not looking forward to the trip, it's January 4th...at least it's past the holidays. I will wish for good health for you too. When you're feeling down because of your health, remember there is a person in California that cares about you and sends you hugs each and every day.

What are the spots from? I hope you get your Siamese kitty. I believe you had one before the fire if I remember correctly. I would love a weighted blanket but no one will be getting that for me. They are expensive and rarely do I eventually get asked what I want.

@BearArtistLady my mother has white carpet in two rooms and it is old and so spotted and gray now it is gross! The lowest I saw the weighted blankets online were small throws for $30. I'd rather a full sheet size one to go on my bed. Of course I won't waste that much money on myself so I will never own one.

@Marty1 I'm not sure how it is weighted really haven't looked into that. I can't sleep unless I have the weight of many sheets and blankets on me which can be very hot. A weighted blanket would allow me to wear less and sleep well!

The spots are from normal wear and tear. If we get a drop of water on the bottom of our shoes and we walk on the carpet it leaves a spot on the carpet. I'm still in awe that Bill put white carpet in his home. With living in the country, by a lake, with plenty of trees and dirt around a white carpet isn't the first choice I'd make for a carpet to go through the whole house. He probably got the carpet for a really good price since most people wouldn't want a white carpet...in the country....by a lake Yes you remember right. I had 4 before the fire. Charlie Tuna, Einstein, Khuay, and Willy. I'll keep my eyes open for a weighted blanket. I seem to have pretty good luck finding things like that at a reduced price.

I only ask for health and no more problems, live my life with my husband and do not take care of annoying family members.

@BearArtistLady I wonder why most time family member are not the friends we would have chosen for us.

I wish for your wish to come true! I can totally relate to the health problems because of the extent of the injuries I suffered on the job...it would be so nice to have the health I had when I was a child, without the annoying family member attached to it.

I just want peace for Christmas. I found a Siamese at my local animal shelter. At times he can be a trial but mostly he is a dear who loves my husband to pieces- we call him Beau Teak. It did cost 90 to spring him out of jail but oh well. I hope you get what you want this year.

@sallypup when so many animals need homes that the shelters can't even take in anymore because they are full they really should lower their prices to get them homes faster. I do understand they want to make the price more to cover some expenses and make sure people aren't going to just buy one cheap and go hurt it. But sometimes they weed out potential people to much. I wasn't able to adopt one because I don't have a fence. Even with a fence there is a leash law so my dog is always on her leash when I take her outside.

It would be wonderful if world peace could be restored! It's horrible going to the world news and hearing about all the upheavals and killings. You know if I were up in your area I would be springing the little guy out of the shelter in no time. Siamese work at times to be a trial. It's part of their nature. Then they will change in mid stride and be little love bugs. Hug Beau Teak (love the name) for me! I guess it's time to put on some clothes and have breakfast. Then it's to work for me...I'm hoping to finish the four special order bears this weekend...here's hoping! Off to work.

@shaggin I hear you. Good point. The Shelter refused to give me a choice on which Vet performed Beau's neuter. They are the cheapest folks in town. 80 dollars to do it. Then they also gave him a rabies shot and probably a well kitty check. So I got my 90 dollars worth and then ended up going to my preferred Vet cause Beau had an upper respiratory issue and he needed antibiotics- left me paying more than 90.00. (I worked with Vets for five years so I know a sick animal when I see one.)

Well the things I wanted for Christmas, cat, Echo Dot and Instant Pot I have already gotten. It would be nice to spend time with extended family..but not sure other than son, if that will happen. Still thinking, and watching the weather.

I want a old fashioned shawl. One that wrapped around your shoulders and keeps you warm on a chilly evening. I am going to ask my daughter to make one for me. She likes to crochet and knit. I hope you get your kitty.

I want to spend Christmas with someone but I will be alone. My son has plans with his girlfriend and my other kids are up north. It will be okay though, the Christmas spirit is here.
