Has your home country got a popular to see city?

I live in the United Kingdom and the capital city is called London. If you go there you see The River Thames, Tower Bridge and the Houses of Parliament. I recommend if you visit London then take a day trip to somewhere else. Canterbury in Kent has a splendid looking cathedral, a river side and pretty looking old cottages.

In the USA people seem to want to see either LA or New York City. Oddly, in the top three cities foreigners go to the most, Orlando, Florida was on the list. Then I remembered, that's Disney World.

Amber people going around the world get to choose from Los Angeles or San Francisco. It is possible to get a ticket to New York and overland it to Los Angeles. Yes, Orlando has Disney World.

I agree there are so much to see in London. In fact I hope one day I could visit your country. Here I think the popular city is Beijing and it is famous for the Great Wall and the Forbidden City.

@youless I hope that you visit London one day. I have wished to visit Beijing for years and not managed it. I managed to visit India and it had a high visa cost. China does as well. I think I will be able to visit it visa free though the flights to alternate places will be expensive. Air Asia from Kuala Lumpur and then to Hong Kong.

@youless I think a passport or a cheap visa on arrival would be much better than an expensive visa in advance. Yes, the UK would require a visa from people from China. Yes, the flight to Beijing would be long from Kuala Lumpur or Hong Kong. There is visa free or up to 72 hours or 5 days. I must look into which one we could get.

@maximax8 It seems that if you go to any cities in China from Hong Kong, you will get a visa free to China but I am not sure how long time you can stay. Perhaps three days or a week? I don't think it is very enough to visit Beijing in this way since it will take about 3-4 hours to fly to Beijing from Hong Kong. By the way, I think the visa cost is also expensive for me to visit your country. The good news is the visa valid time is supposed to be 2 years.

There are interesting places to visit in my country. The capital, that you know, has nothing special. The beautiful old houses were all destroyed by earthquakes and now we have a modern city with nothing special. But here there are lots of natural beauty from north to south.

I really enjoyed visiting Santiago De Chile and seeing you. Yes, your home country suffers earthquakes. I remember you telling me about a major one that happened in 2010. I remember a lovely trip in a taxi where my children and I got to visit Valparaiso and Vina Del Mar. Thank you for arranging that. These were wonderful places to visit. I know Chile has beautiful areas to the north or south. The supermarket near you is much better than any of the English supermarkets.

I visited Switzerland last December with my two children. We bought a Swiss Train Pass to see all the snowy areas. From Geneva we went on a train along the lakeside to Christmas decorate Montreux a place we had lots of time for a rest. We took a less than mainline route to Lucerne where we spent one night. The next day we took a train all the way down to the Italian border past Lugano. We saw a beautiful snowy landscape Anna.

I have to defend your capital. There is more to London than the three sights you've mentioned! Germany has so many cities worth a visit that you'd need quite some time to see them all. The many tourists are the proof.

Thank you. Hampton Court is amazing. Kew Gardens is glorious. It took my children to Legoland at Windsor and the River Thames looks gentle and pleasantly peaceful. In Central London the River Thames is busy. I loved visiting Germany when I was a young person. I have seen Koln, Trier, Munich, Nurnberg, Bamberg and more recently Hamburg. That was because I wished to show my children The Miniatures. Do you live in Uzbekistan? We met a German lady that married a man from Egypt. They live in Egypt however Luxor is too hot for her in May.

Boston is cheap to reach on a plane from either Dublin or Shannon in Ireland. I am keen to see Cape Cod which is near to Boston. I would love to visit New York. In my younger days I saw it in movies. Washington DC would have the White House to see so it would be interesting. I wish to see New Orleans and hear some of its music. A British couple got married in Las Vegas that I saw on the TV. I found San Francisco very picturesque.

London is my all time favourite city, and your accent is exquisite. Reagarding your question I might say about my country that we're known for our beaches, as a tropical country most foreigners come here to have fun for its crystalline water and the sunny weather. One of the most famous Island in Venezuela is called Margarita Island, it's like a paradise. :) However I don't like sunny weather I'd rather live in gloomy London. Regards!

I tried to learn Spanish when I was pregnant with my daughter. The teacher was from Venezuela and she had married an English man. It is lovely that your favourite city is London. My favourite cites are Sydney in Australia, Cape Town and Vancouver. I also adore San Francisco. I would love to see the tropical coastline and visit Margarita Island. I wonder if I can easily get a fight to Margarita Island. Have you heard of Angel Falls discovered in the jungle by a man called Jimmy?

@maximax8 Oh that's so great that you tried to learn Spanish! I have no idea whether Spanish is easy or hard to learn for a native English speaker, I haven't been told yet. I would like to know it from you. On the other hand It pleases me that a Venezuelan tried to teach you Spanish, I hope that she did her best at least to teach you basic vocabulary. Regarding the Angel Falls, I know of it cause it is located in Bolivar which is the largest state in Venezuela, nonetheless I have not heard of this guy called Jimmy before. Who this Jimmy is? I am curious to know now :D

In Denmark many tourists visit Copenhagen. Tivoli, the queen's castle and the little mermaid are probably the most famous sights, but there are many other places to visit. I was born in Odense, and the main sight there is Hans Christian Andersen's museum. I would recommend an island called Bornholm. I think it is one of the most beautiful places in Denmark.

It is wonderful that London is your favourite city. Your lovely response made me laugh with relieving the tourists of their cash. I went to a university in Wales and I took a day trip to Dublin. The Irish Sea was too rough for the sea cat. No other sailings went back to Holyhead. I had to spend a night there. Dublin was expensive and that was in the 1990s. I can imagine how expensive Belfast is. I would like to see the Giants Causeway.
