After More Than 3 Years, It Hit Me Again !

Last Saturday, while I was buying my lunch at a food stall in the mall our company manages, I suddenly felt a bit dizzy.
It was an unusual dizziness that I knew , was a sign of vertigo, which I haven’t had for more than 3 years now.
Immediately, I told the cashier that I will pay later because I felt a bit dizzy . I sat at a chair and grasped the edge of the table, then everything around me whirled.
I thought, I might fall from the chair since it has no armchair, but I didn’t.
After more than a minute , it was over.
I suddenly felt so hot all over my body I have to fan myself. I sweated a lot.
It was so unlike my vertigos before.
I was surprised it suddenly re-surfaced in me again.
Maybe because I was already tired from going around the other malls finding some gifts, before I went to the office that day, since my officemates and I will be attending the birthday party of the OMD’s head, Engr. Ghea, in the afternoon.
Or it could also be from my lack of sleep for how many days already.
I just hope it won’t hit me again.

I would say it was more a sense of dizziness that real vertigo, I suppose you did not feel nauseated, thing that serious vertigo always causes. May be it was only a momentary drop in blood pressure, or your sugar levels were too high or too low. You should talk with your daughter.

I hope so too that it's that. I will tell my daughter if there will already be another attack. But as for now, I think I was just exhausted from malling which is airconditioned. Then, I commuted going back to our office and it's so hot.
I guess, that is what triggered my dizziness and hot flash.

You know you can get the treatment for that it is usually an imbalance in the inner ear.

Yes, my doctor told me that years ago when I had attacks of it. Although the attacks happen at a long gap like after 3 months.
I stopped cleaning my ear always with that very tiny spoon-like thing. It stopped my vertigo.
Now, this one again. When I will have my attack once more, I will go back to my doctor who treated me on that.

Better have it checked up with your doctor what caused it. Most probably it may be stress that may be causing it. My wife has this hot flashes because of her endometriosis medication she is taking and feels dizzy but it subsides and would not faint.

That's what I had before when I was 38. That is why I had my total abdominal hysterectomy.
After that I was on HRT or hormone replacement therapy for 4 years. I withdrew from it when hubby told me that it might give me cancer.
So, when I withdrew from it, some wrinkles showed up. Hot flashes was when I reached 50.

Like @allknowing said it would be due to low BP. I faced similar way due to low BP. It happens like that when you have not slept enough.

Yes, that is true.
Actually like I posted before, I was taking MX3 , until I was put on medication for 3 months for my fatty liver. The meds were so expensive, I dropped first the MX3 . I guess, that made my immune system weak lately in addition to my not getting enough sleep.

@ilocosboy Actually I can. However, I have to minimize my expense on meds or I will be on the negative of my budget.

You also experience vertigo? I was prescribed a pill I should take whenever I have an attack of it. But since it was seldom, I never took it again after one time I took it.
I am not able to sleep at least as early as 10:00 but have to wake up at 5:00 am to prepare for work. So I only have 6 or less than that number of sleep hours.

I think it was because before going back to my office place and will be eating at that food court first, I went from mall to mall searching for something to give to our exchange gift on the Christmas party of my batchmates on the 26th.
Then, it was hot and sunny outside. I think I was already so tired and feeling hot already.

Yes, sleep plenty of it, since it is really what I lacked and suspected to be the culprit is what I really need.
Thank you.

Maybe too. I will be having a blood chemistry test within the week. It will be interpreted by the doctor so, I will know what really have caused it.

there are many reasons why a person has dizziness spells. hypoglycemia or low blood sugar level is one, cerebral hypoxia or lack of oxygen in the brain is another, hunger is another, Meniere's syndrome (middle ear affected) is also one. i hope you consulted your doctor and given the right medication for the vertigo you experienced.

You need to have a check up and rest. It is good you were able to sit on that chair because you might fall because of dizziness.
