John @indexer invited us to join a new challenge.
Write a piece to be no longer than 150 words (it can be shorter, and the first words to be - "I hereby resolve …"
Resolutions are not my thing.
I know that they fade as soon as the first problems of the year shows up.
No matter how much we would like to do something, there are events that oblige us give up.
Anyway, this is my participation to the challenge (there are no prizes).
"I hereby resolve:
to stop stressing and be happy.
I am a "worrier", it will not be easy, but it's time to enjoy every day and its best.
Where is the purpose to stay awake thinking to everything that could go wrong?
We cannot change the course of life. So stop worrying, let's see what tomorrow will bring and then let's decide what to do."
This is my resolution, I will do my best to stick on it.
Will you join the challenge?

Your discussion reminded me a quote by Corrie Ten Boom - "Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow. It empties today of its strength". I think it is true, but I still tend to worry too much. That is something that I would like to change.

@LadyDuck I am the same the way. I worry about a lot of unnecessary things. One of my friend is an inspiration to me. He doesn't worry in advance and he takes things as they come.

@Porcospino My brother has always been the opposite, he simply does not care. This is even a bit too much.

I liked your piece because that rings true for me too.
I read Dale Carnegie..How to stop worrying and still pick it up from time to time...That book practically helped me.
Do stick with your resolution.
I did take up that challenge too and have just posted it

My head is not into challenges these days. I have taken up doing sudoku puzzles and it can take me hours to do the more challenging ones. I enjoyed reading yours

@LadyDuck Good to stay calm. I find that watching good movies calms me down.

It is said that being negative within ourselves is easier than being positive. So being able to overcome our weaknesses is truly a sign of our improvement as a person. I hope that you will be able to materialize it Anna! We are on the same boat with this one.
