What did you do on the first day of 2019?

Though I stayed up late to welcome the new year, I woke up at 7am because as usual, Danie woke me up with kisses as she was ready to do her morning business.
Since we didn't have a maid on New Year's day, I started cleaning the house, then I opened my journal/planner to set it up. I played with Danie, watched Elementary and was lazy the rest of the morning.
In the afternoon, we decided to go out and watch the sunset. Danie was amazed and found the sunset beautiful. In fact, she was too excited she wanted to get out of the car as soon as it stopped where the sunset view was.
It was nice to see the sun go down on the first day of the year. It was beautiful and it made us all feel positive. To start anew, begin again, correct the wrongs, and press the restart button!

Is Danie your pet? Our first day of 2019 was spent getting our garage ready for an insurance inspector to come after a car crashed into it on Christmas morning. That night we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit while relaxing in our screened-in shack.

@1creekgirl A cross between a Maltese and a poodle. That looks cute. They're beautiful too.
Danie is a pure breed Bichon Frise. And she's spoiled rotten as well. She gets presents from France and Malaysia coz her daddy is from France but works in Malaysia. She always gets what she wants.

Beautiful photo! My husband woke me up at 7:00AM, too, with kisses after a very late night of partying with friends. We spent the day golfing and lunching at our club. It was a beautiful day here in Florida and a good way to start off the new year.

Waking up late at about 8 am and had a sumptuous breakfast from the leftovers of the media noche (midnight ) then we attended New Year's mass, and spent the rest of the day at home. I just watched television and viewed social media account. It was a real free day for me.

@toniganzon I was like that in high school I would make up 10 minutes before the alarm every day. Sometimes I do that now and I just get up and shut the alarm off before it starts ringing as I hate the sound so much!

You love your new dog so much.
We went to church after which me and my daughter went to the mall shop for her sweatshirt and she treated me at Tien Ma on the first day of 2019.
Hubby came later with us because he dropped my mother-in-law and her sister at a niece's Thanksgiving lunch celebration.
We didn't attend this time because daughter doean't like so we went to the mall instead.

I think I've reached the age where I want to have a daughter but could no longer have my own, so all my attention goes to my baby, Danie. She has everything that a real baby, sometimes even more, have. We treat her like family. Even my brother talks to Danie like Danie is a real human. Nobody seem to treat Danie like a dog at all. I think it's because Danie is a really affectionate dog and she sometimes really act like she's not a dog at all. She understands almost everything we tell her.

@SIMPLYD I'm 40, turning 41, my son is turning 15. Imagine if I'm going to get pregnant and gibe brith this year. By the time, my child turns 18 I will be 59 or almost 60. In case me and my husband die before this new child could have a stable life, it would be a burden to my son.

WE didn't go out to eat but we waited for midnight to greet the new year and eat the food on our table. It's tradition in this country.

Danie is adorable indeed. I prefer the sunset more. We went to the mall after watching the sun go down and had dinner at Shakey's Pizza. They were kind enough to let Danie in and she sat beside me.

Yes, and she's a cut down already. I'm not sure if you noticed but we had her hair cut when she turned 7 months. She is such a darling. We went to Shakey's after watching the sun set. It was nice of them to allow Danie inside and to sit next to me.

Indeed, we should appreciate to be given another chance to make things better and to improve our relationships with family friends and coworkers if we have any.
Spent time with the family, went out and had a simple dinner. It was still raining most of the day.

I'm glad you had a wonderful day and you spent it with family. We went to the mall after this. Danie went window shopping again. She does check out each shop as if she were shopping. then we had dinner at Shakey's. They were kind to let Danie in and she was seated next to me.
