Why do people 'Trump supporters' hate anyone who doesn't like Trump?

My friend, who sometimes tells me just how wrong I am for not liking Trump, just how much Trump has done for America and that Fake News and the Democrats all lie constantly and that nothing that has been said about Trump is the truth but out and out lies! I asked him to stop arguing with my wife, who has a heart condition because she and I do not like Trump and although I voted for him in 2016, I follow all the news reports from CNN and MSNBC and so on and the only thing I hear about Trump is bad news. Nothing good has been said about Trump and since he has shut down the government it seems like Trump is waging war against all Democrats, of which I am one. Why do Trump supporters call all Democrats Liberals and for that matter, why do they even want Trump to run in 2020? I had to do a Google search for some voice of reason in these times of complete set of inaccuracies that seem to be at the very root of the division between the haves and have nots, the Liberal Left and the Progressively Conservative Right. I told my friend I thought that the border wall was a waste of money and time and materials and that a wall would not do anything to stop illegal immigrants from entering the US. He asked me why Obama had a wall around his property and so on. I figure most people who can afford a wall around their property, they do so to keep from having to look at their neighbors. I do not hate Trump but I do not exactly love him either. Not liking him although my friend insists that in spite of his horrible personality Trump did a lot of things to make America great but what exactly were these great things that Trump did to make America better than it ever was? I don't see it. Does putting immigrant children behind fences and left to die what immigration reform is about? Is putting our military at the border and bobbed wire the solution? Is saying if an immigrant throws a rock it is the same thing as shooting a gun and does that mean, shoot to kill on sight? If a wall is such a good thing then why wasn't a wall put there way back when Mexico came to destroy America at the Alamo over territorial disputes?
A new report sheds light on the psychological basis for Trump's support.

That is a two-way street. On the "Urban Dictionary" web site, "Trump supporter" is defined as a "stupid, idiotic, racist" person. There are plenty of people who are very well-educated, have all their teeth, and can articulate sentences in proper sentence structure who voted for Trump. I used to think that "talk radio" was getting a "bad rap" for spewing hate. I don't think that anymore. Too many people -- on both sides of the political spectrum -- are more venomous than a pack of rattlesnakes, and most of what they're doing is parroting what they heard Rush Limbaugh or Chris Matthews say. What people need to realize is, if this ship called the United States sinks, we're all going down. It's not just going to be the left or the right who suffer.

@sugartoes On June 5th, 2018 , Heather Long wrote an article for the Washington Post and it is a good read. The information is accurate and significant.
Jobs are plentiful in today's economy, but overall growth and raises are still far from where they were in past eras.

It seems Trumps name can't be mentioned with an argument with somebody. It really surprised me how many supporters he has and they think he does no wrong. I just don't get it.

MSNBC seems to hate Trump. CNN also, So many news reporters tell us what THEY think about Trump and it all sounds like Trump wants to be a dictator in chief. I don't know why everyone says FAKE NEWS LIBERAL LIES AND WITCH HUNT all the time. While the comments on YouTube reflect hate those who favor Trump condemn all Democrats and all past presidents and leaders from the Democrat party. It is a witch hunt on both sides if you want my 2 cents.

Why did you vote for Trump 2 years ago? I feel that many Americans do not know much about the people they vote for, except for the debates on TV at the campaign.

He had me firmly convinced that Hillary was a crook and that he was the best man for the job and that he would destroy ISIS. But was Hillary really a criminal? Was he the best man for the job? Was ISIS destroyed?

@NJChicaa . I am glad you see it that way because I have to say you are likely very accurate and it is likely the exact truth but the accusation in and of itself was an act of condemnation from political and emotional biased thinking.

I don't jump into Trump talks in real life (if anything, I avoid it) . . . but I certainly see the arguments breaking out on Facebook - even amongst friends and families. I don't know how anyone can support him - I don't understand how they can think he is doing a great job - I don't get anything about this so-called President. I have a friend who sounds a lot like your friend - he has the same logic - and I don't see how any of their arguments are logical.

@lookatdesktop Sadly, I do not see a bright future as well. Though many of us are going to be "ok" for now, there are many who are not - and I fear how this all impacts future generations.

This type of division that has been taking place most recently on a social networking level, both on and off line, has created needless conflict among God fearing, thoughtful and rational thinking people against one another, and will continue to get worse until this nation does a complete about face. I do not see a bright future over the next 2 years, as long as Trump issues sanctions, ultimatums and accusations at the Democrats. Many of the opposing proponents of Fake News comes from the extreme right and from the mouths of non government talk show personalities.
‘Fake news’ is a meaningless term that is used for anti-democratic propaganda. We should all stop using it.

For some reason, there are those who hate FOX Network and those who like it a lot. Why is there such a wide division between those who favor and those who oppose FOX?

@NJChicaa . My wife asked our friend to deliver the details as to the good accomplishments of president Trump and he was not able to come up with anything specific. He just said, well he has done more for this country than any other president. I can't stand it. It is like arguing with a defense attorney.

@lookatdesktop Because some people believe conspiracy theories and Trump propaganda and others like the truth. It is amazing the stuff that I hear come out of my parents' mouths. They are die-hard Trump fans and FOX News devotees. I read A LOT of news sources and I have never heard of most of the crap that they are talking about.

@Courage7 . I am so sad because my friend argued with us and more with my wife about Trump. It has been a very bad day. He came over to watch a movie with us but my wife turned on TV news and it was talking about Trump so one thing led to another and the day ended badly.

I have been pointing out to people that my money did not build the wall around Obamas house. If rump wants a wall he should pay for it not us.

At least Trump can afford to get it started and if he did that he would have even more support by those who currently do not support him on any level whatsoever. I am totally in favor of better border security but building that wall would also make America look like it was keeping people out and people in as if it were no longer a free nation. This message however subtle would ruin the historic image of the United States of America. If the idea of building that wall was as popular and shared by both parties then the nation would be completely behind it but since there are so many aspects of that wall that are being forced on everyone if they want to re-open the government and get their back pay, it is like committing to a decision based on coercion not by the merit of the idea and it should not be a forced issue but rather a concerted thing that both sides of our government agree on.

Everyone has the right to his opinion and has his own reasons, but I do not like it when people impose their opinions and thus offend others who do not think the same.

If we can have an insightful and meaningful discussion about Trump I am for it but arguing who is right and who is wrong is not the best way to debate the Donald.

@lookatdesktop I absolutely agree with you. I experienced a similar situation here, and that was when I had a conversation with one member in my discussion, which I am trying to impose on me in a rough way that what he said absolutely right. In fact, I'm about to say what I was doing in my country and what America did and what it is doing to my people, and I've been telling the truth, because no one here can know what's happening in my country better than me, like I can not know better than what is happening in your country, but he began in a very rough way to hurt me with things that are not true, even when I asked him to stop talking about it, because it hurts me , he did not want to.
