I tried to apply for an online english teachng job and right before my first trial call - my heart was beating so fast i thought it would leap out of my chest

Good thing it went back to normal during the call. I kind of messed up though, the trial student said i looked nervous and my class was boring. i have no idea how to make it lively though. huhu

I'm so sorry. If it's a kid, they usually enjoy perky voice. Did they give you a lesson plan for the trial or did you have to prepare your own?

@lady1993 Grown ups are the easiest to please actually but they're really honest. They don't hold back. They're not actually mean, they're just very picky and too honest. I know because I have been in that industry for too many years.

Try it again until you find your rhythm. Because you feel nervous that's why it became boring. Maybe you should sing the next time

I hope you passed the teaching demo. Sometimes it is nerve-wracking. It is fun to be an online teacher. I have been in this field for more than 5 years now.

its normal to be nervous. try and try... but really online teaching is more difficult than actual classroom teaching. although the advantage is that you only have to deal with a student at a time.
