Snow Day

The big news is this is the first significant snow of the year. I'm staying in and will enjoy it from my large picture window. I must not risk going out and slipping as my granddaughters wedding is less than a week away.
It's part of the BIG STORM that is covering half the country so you probably know all about it.
It's not a pretty snowfall but just tiny flakes falling thickly and covering the ground somewhat slowly. It's been snowing for about seven hours and it's only about two inches. Prediction is 2-5 inches here. The storm warning is until tomorrow.

@1creekgirl all around good kids with big hearts. they both do a lot of volunteer work. We are very happy with her choice.

Not missing that one bit, it has been a little cool here this week especially when the sun goes down. It was 55 when we came home from the pool Wednesday evening.

I'm truly missing the Florida weather. Next week I'll be in the Carolinas and hopefully get some warmer weather. Not swimming weather though.

We have part of it, but I think the temperatures are above freezing, cause there are drips from the eaves and not icecicles.

aint'd much snow'n these parts. purty mild winter thus far ('course, our big schtuff usually comes 'twixt now 'n late april...). hope ya enjoyed that weddin' 'n she's many years 'f great happiness.

Thanks and the wedding went well! I am staying longer in NC due to such bitter cold in the Midwest and that it snowed across my path I would take returning home. It's nice that my daughter encouraged me to have a longer visit. I was happy to see the bridal couple return from the honeymoon and settle in. Normally I would not be a part of that. So GOOD to hear from you!!

Snowing for 7 hours? That's a long time. Is that normal or does it only happen during big storms?
