How is everyone doing? Killing a little bit of time here before I have to start getting ready for work (I start at 2pm, it’s 930am and have already gotten the laundry mostly done, went to the gym, did some supplemental grocery shopping etc). The perks of being an early riser.
At any rate while on the treadmill this morning I just finished this memoir, The Laughing Policeman bun glen Wood. This is his humorous memoir of becoming a police cadet in Nee Zealand in the 19$0s as an 18 year old. This memoir then chronicles the struggles and humorous situations he gets himself into while at their training academy (which was 12 months!)
He is accident prone, clumsy, drives a beat up old pink car, and has a variety of serious and non-serious stories.
I thought it was funny although it mostly just covered his time as a cadet and in training rather than actually on his own. Apparently he has another memoir of that which I may check out.
It was nice to read a humorous book as I feel like I have been reading nothing but serious stuff lately.
What are you reading these days?
