What food or beverage does your area have that is not widely available nationally?

Of course you might be able to get the food or beverage somewhere for a hefty fee like Amazon or something, but what do they sell in your area you haven't seen in other places? Around here I would say it is Northern Neck Gingerale. It is a specific gingerale that gets its name from the land area along the Chesapeake Bay. It is hard to find outside of Virginia..and may become the "beverage of the commonwealth." I like it I have had it a few times, but not sure it deserves all the accolades. Does your area have anything just sold in your area?

Horseshoes is a big thing here that you get from restaurants, I lived down south and they didn't know what I was talking about.

Cheerwine. I think it might be available in the South but not the North. Same for Texas Pete.

@fivecandles Heh! I grew up on cheerwine. I'm not the biggest fan of it anymore but I like a cheerwine popsicle (if they even still make them!) every once in awhile.

I was gonna say Cheerwine! I'm on the tippy-top of its normal range. In fact we didn't even get it here about 10 years ago. My friends thought I was crazy when I literally DANCED in the aisle at Food Lion the first time I saw it here.

A soda that is called "Gazosa del Ticino" (this part of Switzerland is Ticino Canton). I do not like any kind of soda anyway.

@snowy22315 I had a sip and I did not like, but I do not like sodas at all, of any kind. I only like carbonated water with a slice of lime or lemon.

@snowy22315 I don't like boiled peanuts either, but I really like country ham. Boiled peanuts are a little further south.

This is an awesome topic. I wish I had an awesome answer. Up until a few years ago, I could have said Boetje's Mustard but I think they're national now. When I was a kid, Coors was a big deal because you had to go to Colorado or Wyoming to get it but now, it's everywhere. I can give you a reverse one, though. When I lived in Philadelphia, I got hooked on Taylor Pork Roll and you can't get it anywhere around here.

Thanks..I never heard of Bodtje. Mustard or Taylor rolls. One thing I know they sell in certain areas and not others though is pepperoni bread and it rolls.

I know one thing the Moxie soda they sell up there is not sold everywhere. Also cranberry stuff is not sold as widely nationally as it is in Mass. I couldn't get cranberry cookies here for instance or grapnuts puddding.
