TGIF Gone to the Birds

Remember when everybody used to say TGIF on Friday's? For some reason that popped in my brain just now.
The weather has been rainy and overcast for so long it seems. The sun comes out only for a few minutes at a time, then it's gone. But it is winter time.
The birds are all gathered around the feeder eating the sunflower seeds. I enjoyed my coffee in the screen room this morning with my jacket on. The Dude stayed out with me. I have a cat door so the cats come and go as they please. Lately they have been staying inside more than going out because of the weather.
The photo is one I took of the blue jays at my deck feeder eating the sunflower seeds. I was inside when I snapped the photo.
It was refreshing this morning to drink my coffee with only the screen between me and the birds and the outdoors for a change. What a difference a change in scenery makes, even if I never even left my house.
Friday plans for you guys? Expecting snow in your world this weekend?

I think that we got our snow... hopefully for the weekend!! I shovel the driveway only once a weekend... and this is close enough!!

You are so welcome, thank you for enjoying! Yes indeed, the red cardinals starting showing up after my Dad passed. I never saw them for some reason and he always had tons. We would talk about how he wanted to trade some of his "redbirds" as he called them, for my bluebirds, which he never saw. What great memories. Funny how after he passed I now see cardinals. And you know the saying goes they can be a sign from a passed loved one. I believe. I will share photos of the cardinal soon.

I do remember, haven't heard that in a while though.
