Childhood Memory - We can, but you can't

Growing up, my brother and I use to climb on my moms blue neon, all the time when we were outside playing. Roof, trunk, hood, it didn't matter, we were climbing on it. We'd even play tag, and climb up on the roof of the car so that the tagger couldn't reach us. And if someone else even thought of climbing up on my moms car we would yell at them, and so would my mom when she caught them, lol. So we kinda loved it. As it was like a special run away place for us, that the other kids couldn't get to. Although, my neighbors kids and my Aunts step kids all tried to get up on it. Even just the hood of it. But even their parents would yell at them when they caught them, and then ground them . Ahhh sweet memories.

Fun times playing outside. Kids these days are too busy on their phones or playing video games instead of running around outside.

not around here, parents make their kids go outside and play ball or ride bikes. though I know a lot of parents who don't. we were outside all the time, playing tag, red rover, red light green light, rollerblading, riding bikes, hopscotching, playing with chalk, etc. but we also play video games, watched tv, and were on the computer a lot. lol

I was playing on top of the family car one time..and my dad grabbed me by the arm and dragged me off it. He was a little rough..but I never did it again!

My mom let us, as long as we were careful, and didn't break the windows or wipers.

I had a car the kids loved playing on too. Until one of them slid down the hood and cut a toe on the license plate.

I remember climbing on the roof of cars and getting in and out of old trucks playing tag and pretend driving.

@noni1959 same here, though we also spent a lot of time inside watching tv, playing with toys, and video games, and on computer. we knew how to divide our time.

. My father would have broken our legs if we climbed on his car, and my mother would have had a nervous breakdown.
