Some things I can't share on Facebook

Sad, but true. Some things I really can't share on facebook due to drama. I'm afraid to share some of my frugal tips because of fear of judgement. I mean I have some really great people on there, and then there's those who I know in person who judge the hell out of me, even lecture me while I sit there with my head hanging down like a stupid idiot. One woman would complain to me in person about my facebook posts, I took her off and there was drama until I re-added her. So I started posting less and am certainly happy to see mylot still up and running. Where I can share all kinds of stuff without fear of judgement. It's like ... I don't know...freedom on here. Anyone else have this problem? I mean I avoid drama like the plague and try to keep peace as much as I can, really. Any advice? Just leave it all alone and not bother with facebook anymore?

I do not use social networks, so I do not know what's happening on them. Here you can share everything you want.

I think you're smart, staying off the social media platforms. Knowing what I know now I would not have signed up for Facebook.

@Masihi What would happen if you left facebook? I lead a happy life without being in a facebook group.

My advice is don't let anyone steal the joy they never gave you to begin with. Don't worry about what anyone thinks or says. If God gave you a talent or something to share with others to be a blessing then share it! =)

@LovingMyBabies That's really good. I found out i am Jewish by birth about 5 years ago, and hoping one day to officially convert to Judaism. I do pray to G-d every day, though.

That's what my husband tells me. But I have some people in my real life that have very strong, loud personalities whereas I'm meek and mild...

@Masihi I am also meek and mild in nature, but I became stronger when I really realized I'm a child of God and I'm loved by the one that truly matters.

I got turned off by FB in the past couple years - I rarely share anything there these days - but admittedly I do still lurk daily. If I do, it might be a photo of my kids - or some super good news. How about creating a closed group only for those who are interested in frugal tips (I don't know how that works, but I know there are many special interest groups there).

I'm in a group called Frugal Minimalists and there are some really lovely people in there! :) I get a lot of ideas from them and it helped me quite a lot.

Your last sentence shows that you know the answer yourself. What would you miss if you left facebook for good?

Right, good point. I've really and truly considered deleting my account but I'm in several support groups that has helped me in so many ways and the group's are well moderated. I'm thinking now to just leave my timeline alone or only post in the groups.

@Masihi How long will it take you to come to a decision? Make a list of pros and cons. Then you'll see at once what you can do without.

I don't even bother with FB no more because of that..I have a very strong opinion on what's going on in this world and people on fb would bash me for it. So I'm done.

I don't post so much on facebook. I just read the news from there and if there's important personal messages.

Share all you have here! I love all of the frugal finds I can get! I do all kinds of little things to both save and make money and I do not care who doesn't like it. If they want to waste all of their money then let them!!
