A Prelude To Paradise

I almost did not make this post simply because the pictures didn't come out; they were too dark. So I suppose I'll just have to do my best in describing the scene. Recently my husband and I spent time relaxing at one of the lovely state parks in our area. The parking lot at the entrance of the park was not overly crowded but there were some guests. As my husband walked towards the grassy area near the river, I was actually walking toward him from the opposite direction. This was because I had gotten a head start but turned around to go back to him so that we could walk in together. That's when he noticed it then quickly brought it to my attention: Right there, no more than 15 feet away from us, not one, not two, not three but 4 beautiful deer! They were not the least bit frightened even though there were people around. Likely, they were very used to this. My husband and I were absolutely amazed at, not only the beauty of these delicate creatures but also how close we were to them. They were very small, most likely females. What a rare treat that was. To think that the original purpose of life was to be able to interact with all kinds of animals like that. It's also nice to reflect on the hope that one day, the original purpose of life will be a reality.

It was quite the sight, that's for sure. Sorry I couldn't share more of my experience.

@betlynfrnds That's okay! I guess, that makes it the kind of the memory more to be imagined by everyone else. That's the beauty of it.

That must have been a thrilling experience. Imagine when we can pet a lion or a crocodile?

Yes, it was very thrilling, Felix. There's not a day that goes by where I don't see myself on a paradise earth enjoying every bit of the beautiful creation that we were all meant to love.

I love to think about the scripture in Isaiah 11 and others that describe the future paradise.. It may be closer than we think..

That is such a beautiful hope. You are right - I believe it's closer than most people think. My focus is on the blessings yet to come.

Thank you Oshy, Deer are gorgeous. I love them. The next time I'm in a nature park I will try to be better prepared to capture any beautiful moments.

That’s so cute. They come out of our woods in herds at our home up north. They have gotten so brazen that they come up to the front steps and can hardly be chased away.

@DianneN Oh man, I had a feeling you were going to say something like that. I would love to have an herb garden in our backyard but I know that my little critter buddies ( squirrels, raccoons, bunnies etc. ) would have a feast. If I had one inside our home, our kitty cats would have the feast. I guess that idea is out.

@betlynfrnds Not really. They gobble up all our flowers and shrubs.
