I believe that the first thing to do when I wake up in the morning, is to pray. Do you wake up, believing that there's someone you need to pray to, to guide you through the day? I do.

I pray to God because he made a promise to us. People don't see it now but god had promised eternal life.

I don't know exactly as I have seen nice people praying and nothing getting in return. I believe that you should believe in God and do nice deeds. Pray just to thank God but it is not compulsory, just like it is not compulsory to praise your own parents.. Well, that is just my opinion..
