I only speak English but am trying to learn French and I speak a tiny bit of German. I think learning English when your mother tongue is Arabic would be very difficult because you'd have to learn all the letters as well as how to speak it. I admire you for your efforts.

American English is my native tongue. I need to cite that it's American as the English don't think we speak English and murder the King's English in the process of Americanizing it.

@didinedhia I can speak Spanish. But really, I see no reason to learn anything else. Our language here is English and around the world English is probably THE most common language. ¿Por qué molestarse con lenguajes que no importan? Quiero dedicar mi tiempo a aprender cosas que importan.

My native tongue is actually Scots Gaelic but everybody in my country speaks English and we use that for everything. Gaelic isn't even taught in Schools anymore. For an example of Scots Gaelic listen to this speech from a member of the Scottish Assembly (our governing body):
Kate Forbes SNP MSP delivers a speech in Gaelic in a debate over whether UNESCO status for the language should be pursued

@didinedhia Nothing in Scotland is in Gaelic except some road signs in the north of the country. There are a couple of Gaelic newspapers but all government forms are in English some of which are also available in Gaelic but they have to be specially requested. There is a Gaelic Society which tries its best to keep the language alive but it's fighting a losing battle. Out of a population of about 5 million there are less than 60,000 native Gaelic speakers left most of whom are in the north or on the western islands. Because of immigration there are probably more people in Scotland who speak Polish than Gaelic!
