I thought I would do something a little different. I've seen a lot of "AMA"s (ask me anything) posts on Reddit, by various celebs, reality show participants, etc. So I thought it might be something fun to do here. Now, I cannot answer absolutely everything. There are some things I won't answer, such as specific, personally Identifying details, or details on site operations that I simply don't have the insight to answer. Other than that........go!

EDIT: I am leaving this discussion up as a memorial to Gil (or 'Alex', as many people knew him). I am, however, disabling it so that it can no longer be responded to (or edited or deleted in any way).
Gil was the Admin here for around 10 years until his untimely death on 28 July 2019. He will be remembered with much affection.

I also hate that, Blocking should be double sided.

There are a few people who's posts I read, simply because they have similar interests as me, but as far as a "favorite" goes, no, I try to remain impartial. There are a few people I have known since i first joined though, and used to interact with regularly with back when I was just an average member.

I don't have a question but I just wanted to say that I was delighted to find out you are a bit mature, somehow I always pictured you as a 25-year-old. Why? I have no idea, it is just what was in my head but since you have been around 10 years it makes sense that you are older than that. lol

Been an admin for almost ten years, member for even longer. My time here depends on work load. Sometimes I'm just here for a few hours, other times, I spend time here on and off over most of a day from the time i wake up, to the time I go to bed. Other than here, I do part time contractor work, bash out out music with my friends, spend time in the woods, and spend time with my grand children.

Thanks for allowing us to ask anything. Why can't we use certain so-called harmless words in our discussions without them being red flagged? I used the word #ss from a Saturday Night skit and the entire discussion was deleted. It was hilarious, too.

ROFLMAO....ok, yes, i am "white" (what ever that means), I have Irish, Austrian, French, and native American back-grounds. I was born a few states south of here though. i am 50, and I am a guy..

I have not, but she didn't live very far from me. She was pretty awesome though. I worked under her for a couple years before taking over her position. I'm actually still in touch with her occasionally through email. She's doing well.

I would like to ask if there are any plans to increase the selection of emojis that we have access to. In some cases they would fit perfectly when a word won't due because of the filters on the site.
Besides my question, I would like to say that this is a great post. I'll enjoy going thru it and reading other member's questions.
And more importantly, I would like to thank you for all that you do for us and the site here, it does not go unnoticed.

I try to do a scan of all the latest ones, and read enough to either find violations when my moderator is off. If something is of particular interest, I will read it all for entertainment and maybe learn something. But out of fairness, I rarely respond socially. I don't want to unfairly influence earnings.

Have you ever met the owner of myLot in person? Do you know if he/she occasionally checks what's going on on the site?
If you started your myLot life as a member, don't your fingers itch to still write posts and not only watch that the site runs according to plan? Or do you post under an alias? :-)

I have not. He lives half way across the country from me. But we are in touch by email almost every day and occasionally speak on the phone. And yes, i do get the occasional itch to pop in with my regular account. Time is often prohibitive though.

Now that I have published my second book of poems I would have loved to let everyone here know in a post. I suppose that is looked at as promotional but perhaps if I don't add any links or anything to the book???? Just don't want to step on any toes.

Wow... *great* question. success in what....life? Career? On a personal level it means, at least to me, that I am happy with my life and have everything I need, no matter how small that may be, and that I am able to pursue some simple pleasures. by that definition, I feel like i have achieved success.
