When Your Post Does Not Receive A Single Response

We post discussions here with the hope that they would receive responses. The more responses our posts receive, the more we earn.
But sometimes we post a discussion and it does not receive even a single response.
What do you do then? Do you delete it? Or,do you don't delete it and keep waiting to receive responses?

I just leave it. Sometimes we receive a response when we least expect it. In 2018 I received a response to a discussion I started in 2013. That was a big surprise. I had forgotten all about that discussion

@Shivram59 Yes, sometimes discussions don't receive responses right away. I think it also depends on the number of people who are online at that time. It might take a while before people find our discussions and we also have different time zones.

@Porcospino What you do is right. If a post does not receive a response till hours after posting, it should be left to wait. One of my post received the first response a couple of days after posting.Thereafter it received the first response and finally ended up receiving ten.

@Porcospino Absolutely right. There are many reasons due to which a post may not receive responses soon after being posted. One of my posts had received first response after a couple of days. It later received as many as ten responses.

@CarolDM Yes,sometimes changing the title of the post does the trick. My posts rarely receive more than ten responses. And sometimes they take a lot of time to receive the first response. One of my posts had received the first response two days after posting and eventually ended up receiving ten.

@CarolDM Yes,I visit as many posts as possible in the time that I have from my busy schedule.I agree with you that one of the reasons due to which a post receives less than expected number of responses may be the time you post a discussion.I usually start discussions at late night.May be that's one of the reasons why my posts receive less responses.

@Shivram59 Not sure if it is maybe the timing of when you post. Do you comment on other posts, I know you do. Just wondering.

@Tina30219 You are right. If a post does not receive any response, it should be left to wait. This is exactly what I do.One of my post did not receive a single response for two days. Then came the first response and finally it ended up receiving ten.

@Shivram59 yes directly asking is against the rules. It is better to keep on posting and try to earn from responding and commenting.

@Nevena83 Tons of thanks,my friend.Sometimes a post does not receive a single response till hours and even days after posting. If this happens, that post should better be left to wait. One of my post that has 10 responses received its first response a couple of days after posting.
I know you would respond to my posts, but it is an unwritten rule of mylot that you should not request or ask your friends to view your posts.Last night I started a discussion.Till now it has received only three responses..This happens perhaps because of different time zones.

I have had posts up that take an hour or two to get a response. I never delete them though, someone will invariably answer even if they are just being nice.

@mayka123 It has never happened with me,too. But I am told about people who delete their posts if they don't receive any response.I thought about it and reached at a conclusion that there is no point in deleting such posts. After being edited or changing their title the same posts may receive responses.I fully agree with you.

I sometimes started a few discussions on topics which I liked or where I devoted time on thinking about it but I did not get any responses.
So we must not lose heart and just keep on moving and enjoying things here.

@Shivram59 and sometimes my sports posts also get good response.
But some niche topics post or things posted on Saturday do not get those many responses.

@Shivram59 correct, so if you edit content and title and it starts getting responses then you are learning as to what style of writing to use on future posts

I have just learned to not bother. It used to bother me that my posts would only get like 1 or 2 responses but now it doesn't because I know not everyone is into what I am doing, sometimes I write too much and sometimes I am a bit confusing. So I just let it go and let the post sit there.

@DesirousDreamer Yes,not all posts get lots of responses. Some get just a few and some others keep waiting for just a single response. It all depends on how many views your post have received.Sometimes when you start a discussion, only a few people are online. In that case it takes you time to receive a response. So,better leave the post unresponsive to and wait .
You are right.
