Grow Old With Me, The Best Is Yet To Be

I saw this image on Pixabay and an idea instantly formed in my mind. It brought to mind a happy couple who have been spending a life together as one.
I have always loved the saying I used for the title of this post. When I was much, much younger I used to dream of having my own true love who would be by myside for an eternity.
I am one of the lucky ones who did find my forever love. He has been there all of my life in one way or another. He is with me through good and bad, though sick or healthy, rich or poor.
He is the one I dreamed of as a child.

I really love the song by John Lennon. I have found love but not that kind of love. I can wait as their is eternity.

@HazySue I believe in love and so don't doubt that somewhere in the universe there is a special one for me. This time I am not in a rush as I have learned to be happy where I am.

Having a mate who truly is your soul mate is one of God's greatest blessings. After being married 52 years, we haven't killed each other (yet!) so I feel sure we'll continue to love each other.

Not everyone is blessed with forever love and I really admire seeing old people and still very affectionate with each other. You can really see how much love they have for each other. Who doesn't wish for this? Because I do. I'm with the first man in my life and we are still together and hope we'll grow old staying in love with each other.

You are very lucky indeed to have someone you love that loves you back ..i am not so lucky. And know first hand what it feels like to be lonely .. Maybe one day i will find my one and only ..and begin to.enjoy life in that way again .. I thought i had found the one once before but sadly it didn't work out ..i.have been alone ever since..
