Can’t wait to wear my sweatpants all day tomorrow

I have had such a chill in my body the past few days nothing seems to help no matter how many layers I put on.
Last night I drove 45 minutes to meet my boyfriend at the dealership where he dropped his truck off to be worked on.
I was listening to the radio on the way there and heard a new tune I thought was catchy. It was called “Sawed off Shotgun” by The Glorious Sons.
Once I picked up my boyfriend he insisted on buying dinner for us at the Chinese Buffet next door. On the one dessert table there was labeled “Egg custard”. It was circular and in a thin papery edible wrapper. It had such a perfect consistency, not to mushy not to hard. You could taste the custard but it was very buttery and had a hint of coconut. It was amazing! I could have filled a plate with them and just eaten that until I was stuffed. My boyfriend didn’t want dessert but it was so good I made him try a bite. He reacted the same as me amazed at how good it was. He went up and got himself 2 to eat.
When I got home I had to make some cookies for my daughter to take into Spanish class today. Her grade is already over 100 but she wanted to do the extra credit which was to bring in any food you would find in Venezuela. The cookies I made were Polvarosas -Venezuelan crumbly cookies. We sent the whole batch in so every student plus the teacher could have one. She said no one else brought anything in but everyone loved the cookies.
Today my boyfriend came here with my van that he had borrowed. I drove him back up to the dealership to pick up his truck. I stopped at Aldi’s and got some groceries before heading home.
I had a van a few years back that I put down the road on my dads land where it was hidden behind a trailer. The price of metal dropped so low I wanted to hang on to it until it went back up. It never did much! My dad just tore the trailer down so he called a place to come get the van and I got $150 for it.
So since I can’t get rid of this chill and have no plans tomorrow I look forward to staying in sweatpants all day tomorrow.

@DianneN my allergies bother me constantly and my sinuses have felt like they are burning off and on so that could be the cause of the chill. It could also be because my boyfriend and his son were playing around and bumped in the thermostat messing it up. It doesn't seem to be working as well as it was before so it gets colder in here before it kicks back on. Can't let a chill keep me down to much to do so I just pile on more layers.

Sweats can be pretty comfy. Hope they help you stay warm tomorrow.
That stinks no one else brought anything in to the class, but good for her doing the extra credit and to you for making good cookies.
So is his truck 100 now? Hope so.
Glad you enjoyed that little dessert treat.

@Courtlynn the place he bought the truck from that kept doing the repair put the new part in but never connected it to the computer so the truck didn't have a new part was added. The dealer fixed that simple problem and applied some patches. Hopefully it did fix the problem completely as he is driving 3-4 hours south this weekend for a rabbit hunting derby.
My boyfriend and his son were rough housing here a week ago or so and bumped the thermostat so the one part almost fell off. When the house felt extremely hot I looked and it was up as high as it could go so I turned it down where it should have been on 64. It hasn't been working right since then though. It shouldn't drop below 62 in here before kicking on but it's been dropping to 60. That is too chilly and I think why I can't get rid of this chill. I am bundled up well today. I need to look online for what to do to adjust it if I can. Hopefully I don't need to have a new thermostat put on.
My daughter was all excited expecting a little party with all the kids being something in so she was a little disappointed but all the kids were happy and loved the cookies which I didn't think were very good. The ingredients were bland so I didn't expect to like them.

@Courtlynn her friend brought in churros that she made and my daughter said they were awesome. I have recipes to make churros so I’ll have to give them a try. The teacher is supposed to bring something in Friday so that’s cool

We went to a Chinese Buffet for New Years, and I had a few of the desserts, but I don't know what they were called. I hope you get warm!

@bunnybon7 when you see them they just look okay but when you taste them are amazing. I’ve never had them before and I’ve been to quite a few buffers including that one so they are new around here. I really hope you find them at a buffet near you.

@Tina30219 I am all bundled up in many layers today. I have no where to go and am so thankful for that. We are getting an ice storm so school is being dismissed at 2pm today. My daughter will be so happy to get out an hour early. My son has a lot of school work to do today so I may not have time to watch a movie but I hope so.

@shaggin So with the storm coming that means school for your daughter might be canceled tomorrow. I hope your son gets caught up on his work soon

@TiarasOceanView the egg custard was so amazing. I intend to try make a few recipes of it that I found online. I doubt they will be as good but I am going to try.

@andriaperry I looked up recipes for it online to try to make it at home. I know the outside was phyllo. The ingredients for the custard part don't sound exactly like what I ate so I am going to have to try them all and tweak them after to get it as close to the restaurant one as I can.
The chill has been here for days hasn't gone away and I shower every night. Could be my sinuses or my boyfriend and his son bumping into my thermostat messing it up.
