If you are like me, you enjoy the convenience of paying at the pump. All you have to do is slide the card and that's it. You are good to go and you drive off. Well, there has been disturbing reports of theft at the gas pumps. It seems that thieves are getting more and more sophisticated as far as technology is concerned. With a key that is available at E-bay, they can open the booth, put a ribbon in place and steal your info. Police officials are recommending paying for your gas with cash. Your thoughts? Warning! Don’t pay at the pump. A new warning from the Harford County Sheriff’s Department. It has been discovered that hackers are now replacing the ribbon ...

It's happened to Hubby - a couple times in fact. I have been told to pay inside at the cashier . . . this guy warned me that his account was messed with after paying at the pump at the very gas station we were at (and where we always go). I didn't know about a key that can be bought . . . what a sad world we live in!!

Seems like thieves are evolving as the technology is. If I lived there, I guess I would do the easiest thing so far, to pay in cash.
