I’m Still Tired Of Winter..

I will admit I liked yesterday. It was snowing but I was in my basement studio painting until a friend sent me a message and said go to a window. I did and it was magical. The snow was coming in very large flakes and there was not a breaze outside. It was delightful to see the soft white coming down.
I’m still tired of winter, but glad we were south for a month and now back and cold I can say yesterday was a gift. Just fun to feel like a kid again. I should have been outside catching the flakes on my toung but no, I stayed in and continued painting...
Maybe today I will go for a walk, the sun is shining....or not.

We're supposed to get a significant amount of snow this afternoon and overnight. I'm tired of winter too and can't wait to see the grass turn green and flowers pop up.

I watched the news (we get a Boston Channel) and i was awed by all the snow they are still getting. Its snowed every day but the last few days is been next to nothing and that makes me happy. Looking forward to warmth.

@LadyDuck That's nice to hear... its just 11 Am and my day is starting. the sum is shining and its not snowing... I painted and now just came up to the computer and soon will be going to the YMCA wearing my winter clothes and boots... so ready for spring.

@Juliaacv yesterday at the YMCA, everyone was talking of the mess on the QEW, the snow yesterday caused a lot of cars to crash. I was glad I had no reason to get on that highway...

@simone10 It seems to be warming, all my snow is gone but I heard from my sister in NY and my son north of where I live in Ontario and both were dealing with snow....Spring has to be here soon....

We've had more snow and cold weather too and I'm tired if it. Even more than that I'm tired of the ice that still surrounds most homes, walkways and driveways. It may be warmer this weekend followed by more ice and snow as the temps plummet once again

@PainsOnSlate this is the first year we've had this much ice and have it stay around for a month or more. Hopefully it'll never happen again. But, I'm going to look for cleats just in case

When we were younger we lived in Kansas and our children loved the snow - but there wasn't much and it never lasted long enough for the kids. From there we moved to Indiana and the snow was much more...and our children learned to ski there... A few years later we were in Canada (and we are still there). Now in our older years we like going south and not having to put up with snow. The snow this winter was bad...but spring is just around the corner and there is no snow here now...

I live in Tennessee (north Tennessee), and we get a good snow once or twice a year. I always love the snow when it comes. Never have outgrown that. But I think I would begin to be weary of it if it stayed around too long. Even in Tennessee, I am so anxious for spring to come. My daffodils are already blooming and I want it to warm up, so I can be outside working in the soil again.

@CarolDM I belong to the WMCA and visit it 5 days a week (the hub goes 7 days) I don't go on the weekend because I like the classes and the company while we work hard.

I was south for just a month and found this deep freeze very unfriendly...Spring is going to come soon so get used to the cold but it won't last long. By two weeks the snow could be gone....fingers corssed.

I have two new knees, they are healed and I can walk anywhere but I can't get on my knees so my snow angel life is gone... Its snowing like crazy right now and I will go to the Y and hop into the pool and pretend to be summer...

its delightful when there is no wind and the flakes fall so beautifully, its like watching a movie about snowing. Usually when it snows the wind makes it ugly - not really ugly but just to fast and too cold to enjoy it...
