What is your favorite flower? / myLot

Spring will come soon for many people. All kinds of flowers will start to bloom. This is my favorite part. Flowers will bloom and trees will become green again. They said that winter will come again. We will have -15 degrees Celsius. But I am thinking of flowers. Do you have a favorite flower? I love tulips and lilac flowers.

What a lovely flower we have something similar to that one here too. Mine is Sweet Alyssum which is due to start flowering now and then after that the poppy the red one.

Everything in its season! I don't have a favourite flower overall but in Spring I love the tiny snowdrop and the bright yellow aconite, then come the tender wood anemones and the frothy white cow parsley. Soon after, the may will flower and we shall know that summer is on its way when the tulips bloom. Lilac and then roses will soon follow and I love those - especially the pale pink wild rose. In summer there are too many 'favourites' to name but I love hollyhocks, delphiniums, the bright red of the oriental poppy (with its bristly buds and leaves and, afterwards, the dense black tops of the seed pods). Autumn has fewer flowers but there is the pristine pale purple of the Autumn Crocus with its gold stamens and, of course, all the berries and the brilliant leaf colours. Winter may seem to be dull and colourless, but when the sun shines, every bush and tree has its own colour from red-browns to bright greens and the bright yellow winter jasmine and the delicate green and purple Christmas Rose (actually a Hellebore) can be found.
