Black and White can turn the mundane into something special

When I first starting using a Digital Camera, I would take a picture of everything. Why not, it's not like the old days where you waste film. If you dont like it you can always delete it, except I never did. I horded my pictures, even the mundane ones and one day I started experimenting with Black and White. This is one of my early pictures. In colour, it's just another bird pic, but in B&W it seems to come to life and has become one of my favorite pictures. Do you remember when Black and white was the norm?

I am old enough when television shows were in black and white as well as the televisions back in the 1970s.

@CoachME I love using a digital camera. I think Black and white shots are very cool. Yes, I love that you can delete the picture if you do not like it.

Yes, I have taken pictures since I was very young and had an analog reflex camera. I even had the opportunity to be in a laboratory, revealing and copying in black and white. This picture that shows us originally was in color and you passed it to black and white with the photo editor?
