Would you look back at a comment and comment back, if the person commented to your response on THEIR DISCUSSION after many days?

Sometimes, when I respond to someone's discussion, I get the response after more than 10 days. It is very rare though. I generally check the comment and also comment back, as I want to see what he/she wrote.
Sometimes, I feel, will they even notice that I commented back on their comment as they anyways saw my actual response after so many days.
It is very rare though. Generally people respond here within 3 days and most within 24 hours.
Would you look back at a comment and comment back, if the person commented to your response on THEIR DISCUSSION after many days?

@Sheali I have been a regular visitor of mylot.First I clear my notifications.I comment back on each comment no matter they are on my discussions or theirs and they are old or new.

@Sheali Let them do what they like.You can't do anything about it.As users of mylot we are supposed to respond to discussions we like and comment back on responses or comments we receive.I never care whether others are quick in commenting back to me.What else can I do?

I just post my views when I experience something different on My Lot and try to see how people react in similar situations..

That's what I do as well..
But some people may get busy and check the responses on their discussions many days later and comment on those... In that case I wonder if I they would even see my next comment on their comment.. 
It is a chain of comments to a response..
Sometimes maybe they overlook a few responses and carry on with other discussions and come back to the old ones after many days,.. That's what I have observed.. WHICH IS FINE..

And yes, I do happen to have a very good excuse for why I'm on this discussion so long after it was written... One of my friends suggested it to me yesterday. I'm just taking advantage of the fact that I'm here to bother a few of my other friends while I'm here.

Yes, I always comment back, even if it has been for many days, or even longer. For reasons that we don't know about, people on My Lot are very busy with other things, that are MUCH more important! Such as family, friends, and their home life. This site is not the center of our world, yet with some it appears to be that way. I didn't check my notifications for about two weeks, when my granddaughter was in the hospital:(

@Sheali And your views are excellent, I can see your point about this. But, I jump around on this site and try hard to read a bunch of discussions, in about an hour. There are so many writings, I quite often loose track, where I've been or what I've responded to. I love this site though, it's more personal than most other sites I've belongs to. I love meeting new people

Yes, I know... There are many important things.. I personally won't even post a discussion if I won't have time to comment back but that's my personal choice...

@Sheali I'm here in a timely manner this time .
I try to get to my notifications before they fall off the bottom. I can find the comments to my discussions without it, but I might not remember other folk's discussions that fall off - that I do feel bad for. Ah - but that happens a lot on myLot. I guess we just do what we can!

Yes.. but you will get the pennies only if that person reacts to your comment..

What's the guarantee that they would see your next comment to the same response..

I try to comment back if I see it in the notifications, however some days I am working, I work 3 jobs, and I cant get back to it.
Are you saying they wrote discussion about your comment on your discussion, days later?

I responded to THEIR discussion within a few hours of their posting it... and they commented on my response after many days.. WHICH IS FINE..
I comment back again but just wonder if they would even see that comment or not... I anyways can't remember where I respond or comment after a few days..

@Sheali Always. People have reasons for taking a bit of time to comment back but I really have to comment back whether or not they will see it again so I feel like I've done the right thing by replying and not ignoring them. It's a shame that notifications disappear after 7 days as sometimes people stay off MyLot for longer than that.

Yes I do! As long as notifications don't die out, I attend to all of them. We all can be away from here for days or months due to other calls of life. So it is okay to get a delayed response.

@Sheali Yes it happens. Sometimes even I ignore notifications for a day as I am in a mood to read more new discussions and respond to them. So I come to attend them later and that might cause some delay.

I know I many times have been known to take a while responding back to someone even in my own discussions depending on the amount of time that I have to be active here. I respond back to people and it is up to them to choose if they want to respond back to me or not.

The main factor that will determine if I come back to comment on a response after several days have passed is... whether it's still in my notifications or not. 
Usually, if I've only been gone a few days, the notification will still be there and I'll have an easy way to get back to it. If I was gone for a while (say, months) and I missed the notification, then I'm afraid I'll probably not even remember what discussions I left responses on, and I wouldn't know if anyone commented back. (I have the email stuff in settings unchecked, as I check my email even less than I do the mylot site itself. 
)
It's easier to go back to my own discussions. And I normally would go back at least the last discussion or so (not so much the ones that are many years old) to see if there are any responses I haven't answered yet. And usually, I would respond to them as soon as I get back.
But right now, there is actually one discussion that I'm purposely delaying going back to. It's a rant about something that still somewhat pisses me off when I think about it, so... I'm still trying not to think about it. One day, when I'm ready, I'll go back there and answer the responders. For now, I'm just posting other discussions and enjoying the rest of mylot.
