Happy Thursday all! How’s it going? I am kind of having an off start to my week and have just been a hair grumpy the past couple of days. I don’t really have a reason to be but it is what it is. Only 38 more hours left in the work week. Haha! I chose to pick up some overtime on one of my off days, this upcoming Sunday. For whatever reason. But I am sure I will be thanking myself for it later. I woke up a bit early and am now killing time on the treadmills while I roast some turnips and sweet potatoes. I have never cooked turnips before, but bought a bag on impulse when I last grocery shopped. Right now they are baking with balsamic vinegar and a dab of olive oil, so we will see how that turns out! Are you a turnip eater? If so, how do you prepare it?

I do love turnips but have never bought them fresh. Usually I get the cup up ones that are frozen and just boil them, mash with a little butter, salt and pepper. Baking with balsamic and olive oil sounds really good to me.

We don't often get turnips, I don't know why. The baked ideas sounds good, let us know how they turn out!

Love turnips and cornbread. But i only buy them fresh. I cook them in an iron skillet like my Grandmother used to do. She used bacon grease of course.
