I am currently enrolled in the Sheboygan Police Department Citizens Academy. It's a course designed for people to work better with the local police during activities such as Neighborhood Watch groups. I am taking it because of my involvement in the Human Trafficking fight. The things we are learning will help me better combat this tragic crime so prevalent in our communities. Tonight we will be learning when it's appropriate to use deadly force and when it isn't. We get to go through drills with plastic blank guns. They will grade us based on sound split second decision making in a high stress situation. I've never done this kind of drill before. I'll let you know how I do.

That is wonderful that they are offering training like that. There are too many trigger-happy people out there.

It's easy to be trigger happy in such tense situations. It's also easy to hesitate which can be just as tragic.
