What did you have for Easter dinner?

I usually get invited to some Easter dinner or another, but not this year. I did make to the park with Horse Jr., and we had fun playing with my friend Tom's daughter, Paloma. I also got to catch up with Tom's brother, Dan, whom I hadn't seen in over a year. As for food, I just grazed. A couple of Easter Eggs. A couple of hot dogs. A bit of toast. Some Trader Joe's Caesar salad (quite good!). I hope your dining was a bit more elaborate than mine!

I did not cook this year and I was not invited anywhere either ( that was a first) so Chinese it was. I had lo mien, Sesame chicken and a couple of those cream cheese things. My fortune? An old love will come back, there is only one I would welcome back.

I had a simple salad... just some lettuce and cucumber, and home grown chives (they're about 5" tall now).

@BarBaraPrz Ah, add garlic, a touch of Dijon, and a bit of mayo, and you have my dad's Dijon vinegrette dressing!

@simone10 I don't have a sweet tooth. I will make some scalloped potatoes with Swiss cheese to go with the ham.

This time it was just a simple get together with family. BBQed some pork steaks and brats and had some side salads like macaroni ones and veggie ones, brussel sprouts...it turned out very nice. Of COURSE there was also booze involved.

I made a roast dinner - roast chicken, mashed and roast potatoes, broccoli, green beans, and gravy. I hadn't done a proper roast for a while so I thought I would do, especially as there were four of us for the first time in a while. I love making dinners for my family.

@TheHorse With two growing teenage boys, leftovers are a rarity around here. Sometimes, I'll sneak a little into my work lunch box before I serve it up to the gannets! I'll do extra next time just for you :D

I made my own post yesterday about what I ate! I ordered delivery - bourbon street chicken and shrimp with crispy red potatoes! It’s chicken in a garlic butter sauce and grilled shrimp with the potatoes, all served with onions mixed in.

@TheHorse Not much but there was grilled cauliflower...Have you ever tried that? Just whole heads of cauliflower grilled just like a steak or anything else. I love it. There were probably other things but that's all I remember.

We were photographing horses so meals were a bit spasmodic. However the canteen served up some great fish and chips on Friday, shepherd's pie on Saturday and roast on Sunday. So we ate well each evening.

We'll celebrate Easter this week, so we still have some preparations to do. Usually there are huge amounts of food and we never eat everything... it's a terrible waste of good food. I'll post a picture with what we'll eat after the preparations are done .

Sounds like some good food there.....even though you just grazed. We have an Easter "brunch" sort of thing. We had ham, potatoes, eggs. There was also hot crossed buns, but I don't eat those.
