It’s Not His Fault

We just returned from our morning walk and received a text from our son. Apparently, Doodles has found a comfy new place to hang out - on one of his new chairs.
He went on this chair after an outdoor walk, yesterday. He was on it when our son went upstairs to bed last night. And, our son found Doodles on the chair first thing this morning.
On Saturday our son received a delivery of four chairs for his sitting room and FaceTimed us to show them off. I asked how Doodles liked the new furniture, but Doodles hadn’t done much except sniff each one.
So our son called Doodles into the room, patted the chair, and said, “Up!” And up he went!
I think it’s my fault or perhaps it’s our son’s fault. In any event, I don’t like Doodles on the furniture with his oversized claws.

@allknowing No, I miss my family and Doodles. I love Florida and will probably sell our house in a few years.

@DianneN Roscoe sleeps under the sheet plastered right next to my body, he has to be against me at all times lol Brie sleeps at the foot of the bed so I have to sleep like a letter s lol Dogs rule!!

if you let your husband sit on your furniture without having his toenails clipped then Doodles should be allowed to also,,,go Doodles i am on your side

@DianneN Pretty cat has got a lot more comfortable here since I put Cutie and Bright Eyes outside. They just never did accept her. She has claimed a bean bag chair now.

. I always thought cats are funny when they sharpen their claws. Of course, none of them used my furniture... 
.
The only thing our son can do is cover that chair with a thick blanket.
Doodles does use his scratching posts to sharpen his claws, but those claws get stuck in everything!

Nice Doodles - cozy space. Wow, I commend you for keeping him off of furniture. My parent's cat isn't allowed on tables or counters. Though she tries. I can't imagine how difficult to keep her off of more stuff

@DianneN Yeah, It will all be better if he's on another chair. Regarding the current events in my city it heartbreaking what's happening, I don't have the nerve to be there, too much violence and I would never hurt my mom's heart when being in an event like that.
