After a week away from home, attending the Ytterbium science fiction convention, the week following my return has been a hectic return to routine. I had to see my welfare officer the day after I returned, though they seemed happy enough that I had kept up my job search despite being way (coinciding with the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. They also liked the evidence I had of my successful book launch during the convention, as the money ales will hopefully generate for me will save them money in the long run. I visited the job club to get back into the full swing of my job search activity, and caught up on laundry. I paid for my hotel stay in Derby for late June when I attend the AGM of the Inn sign society. This means my spending for the next few months is greatly reduced. I had a few days of just chilling out and bought in essential foods for the weeks to come. I got my welfare payment but bills soon decimated that. My restricted budget continues. I won’t gain from my book sales until early 2020. I won a CD – ROM of Nottingham based pub signs in a competition, which was lovely and it is a very nice CD Rom. I also received a new battery charger for my main camera as they previous one wasn’t working any more. Without it the camera would be useless. It was a minor expense on my very strict costs but an essential one. My public talk is fixed for the end of May, and I have weddings to attend in June & July. The future is looking interesting. Sounds like you have a pretty full calendar coming up. The CD sounds interesting. That was a nice win.

I hope the book generates millions for you...and the stats say it will. I polled myself with the question, "How much money do you think Arthur's book will generate?" And the answers were all, "Over a million." Winning the CD ROM is a good sign.

Weddings are expensive to attend. It's the price you pay for being popular and getting invited.
