We Will Have Lots of Fruit This Year

Yesterday Al and I took a walk around our yard. He wanted me to show him exactly what is the rhubarb in our garden. On the way to the rhubarb patch, we passed our apple tree which is loaded with little apples. It has been two years since we had any so this will be a good year. I also checked our raspberry and blueberry bushes and they are loaded, I need to get some cheesecloth before the birds steal all our fruit. I look forward to baking with the fruit from my tree and bushes. I also have some roses in bloom. Things are looking quite pretty in our yard, I suspect all the rain has caused this bounty.

That's great that you will have a good year for your fruit. And that is something to remember when we complain about all of the rain, it makes things grow too.

I will wash it and freeze it. The apples will be later and I will use that to bake things that I can freeze. I hate to waste.

What is the season there now in your country that your trees are having fruits and your plants bloom? Here it is summer so mangoes in our backyard as well as the lemons and tamarinds abound. Also the flowers are so much into blooms.

It must be cooler in your area than it is here. Our roses are alredy losing their petals. The wonderful rose blooming period is over for another year. :-(

Yummers at your house. My strawberry patch is about done giving tasty fruit so now I will start checking out our raspberry jungle. It looks like our grape vines are finally large enough that we'll get some grapes later this year. Garden fruit is so much tastier then store fruit.

@BelleStarr My rhubarb plant croaked. My Mom used to make a grand rhubarb raisin pie that her Mom taught her to make. (Too sweet for my hubby.) Mom would put meringue on top of the pie.
